BREAKING NEWS!! Magic Happens Parade Coming to Disneyland in Spring 2020!

The D23 Parks Panel is off to a great start with the announcement of a brand new parade coming to Disneyland in 2020!!

This new parade will be called Magic Happens and will be a blend of both classic and new Disney stories.

This NEW parade will include Moana, Coco, andSleeping Beauty — and of course Mickey Mouse and the gang. It will also include a brand new song produced in partnership with singer-songwriter Toddrick Hall. We heard a sneak peek of this song at D23 today, and it is energetic and fun — and modern as well!

Now, let’s check out a few of the new floats we can expect to see in Magic Happens.

According to Disney, “on her voyager wa’a (or canoe), Moana journeys forth on the crest of a beautiful wave, inspired by beautiful koa wood carvings inset with LED panels, providing a dazzling glimpse into the magic the ocean holds.” It’s stunning in this piece of concept art!

Miguel will strum the guitar of Ernesto de la Cruz on the spectacular float inspired by Coco, bridging the gap between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead with marigolds and fantastical alebrije spirit animals. Miguel’s dog, Danté, will also be a big part of the parade.

The grand finale of Magic Happens will come with “magical moments from classic Disney stories, including the trip of fairies from Sleeping Beauty who transform Princess Aurora’s gown from pink to blue and back again.”
