While we were meandering around Disney Springs checking out the new Ariel Dooney & Bourke collection and Arendelle Aqua Arctic Punch, we noticed something quite intriguing!
Disney Springs has unveiled a new Florida-themed mural and it stars none other than Orange Bird!
In addition to the adorable bird, Florida oranges are also featured front-and-center on the mural. The text at the top of the mural says, “grown in the Florida Sunshine from spring fed groves.” Doesn’t that make you want to eat a yummy orange?
In case you didn’t know, Orange Bird initially debuted in 1970 as a mascot of sorts for the Florida Citrus Commission, so it makes perfect sense why he’d be part of the mural! (That, and because he’s so cute and from the iconic Enchanted Tiki Room.) We’re not entirely sure of the purpose of the new mural, but a Cast Member did mention that it’s a sign of what’s to come. We’ll just have to wait to find out what’s coming next!
You can check out the fun new mural in The Landing area of Disney Springs (near The Boathouse)…
…and be sure to hunt for the Hidden Mickey while you’re there!
We’re so glad we happened upon this fun new mural today! It will certainly make a wonderful photo backdrop for all you Instagrammers out there. 😉
