Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another installment of What’s New at Disneyland Resort!
We’re about to dish all the latest hot goss about the NEWEST food, merch, and construction updates… And, even a lil sneak peek at a certain Oogie Boogie Bash frightening guests in Disney California Adventure. Let’s Oogie Boogie on in!
Downtown Disney
Merch Updates
The Haunted Mansion just had its terrifying 50th anniversary in Disneyland, and it was one swingin’ wake. However, the happy haunts are still celebrating over at the World of Disney with these ghoulishly delightful Haunted Mansion Minnie Ears!
The purple satin shimmers like a ghost’s apparition against the raised, velvet Haunted Mansion wallpaper print.
The eerie ears are completed with a velvet headband with the Haunted Mansion logo and a black sequin bow that is bold and big, just like some of the spirits themselves!
Food Updates
While we may have seen the Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake at the Haunted Mansion’s anniversary bash, there’s a new place cooking up the tasty treats in Downtown Disney! The Funnel Cakery is officially open with all the fried dough and powdered sugar you could ever want!
The menu includes Classic, Strawberry, and Oreo Crumble Funnel Cakes, Funnel Pancakes, Donut Holes, and SO MANY toppings. Of course, we had to grab ALL of THEM!!
The topping options — whipped cream, strawberries, Oreo crumbles, sprinkles, chocolate drizzle, caramel drizzle, and strawberry drizzle –– range in price from $1 to $3, alongside the tasty menu items that can be purchased for anywhere from $6 to $11.
You can check out our full review of The Funnel Cakery here!

We think that these outfits would be totally tubular!! (Seriously, how many of you were there for the MMC reboot in the 90s like me???)
Disney California Adventure

You can’t have Mickey without Minnie! That’s why we were excited to spot the Minnie Retro Collection at Elias & Co! Jam to some tunes in the adorable Retro Minnie Sweatshirt for $44.95…

Next door at Los Feliz Five & Dime, we noticed some sinister merch lurking on the shelves. The Oogie Boogie Bash Sipper is gambling with guests for $19.99!
No, really! He’s holding two dice, ready to toss ’em your way. We only wonder if we can sip on the My Bugs! My Bugs! in the Oogie Boogie Bash Sipper, because that would be frightfully delicious!
You can also pick up the spooktacular Oogie Boogie Bash Ears to wear to the party!
They’re complete with a sequin purple bow, an Oogie Boogie pin, and ghoulish print! You can also spot the 2019 Oogie Boogie Bash logo stitched on the side! We just hope Oogie doesn’t split a seem with his villainous laughter.

Speaking of fluffy, the Kitty Shirt features our favorite cuddly duo from Monsters, Inc. for $24.99.
Construction Update
Inside Knick’s Knacks, a new Coco Photo Wall has been put up! It kinda reminds us a little bit of the ofrenda over at the Plaza de la Familia!
However, the biggest construction we are excited to see is the progress on Avengers Campus (eeeek!!). You can see the Stark Industries sign surrounding the area as they build the Spider-Man Worldwide Engineering Brigade and PYM Test Kitchen.
Entertainment Update

Megan says
Is the Oogie Boogie Bash merchandise out for all guests or only during the party?
DFB Sarah says
Megan, we saw it out throughout the day, and we didn’t notice any merch that was specifically party-exclusive.
