Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
We’ve got all the deets on construction, merch, and food updates, so let’s dive right on in!
Construction Updates
Well, it’s official, you guys. It’s time to say goodbye to the Walk Around the World bricks outside the entrance of Magic Kingdom (we’re pretty sad about this too).
They had sections blocked off to repave the area, making the entrance to the park a bit more difficult for guests to navigate.
The walkway to the side of Cinderella Castle is currently closed, so you’ll have to find another way around, folks!
While we were scoping out the area, we spotted that nets have started to appear around the turrets of the castle, most likely for the Christmas lights that will be going up fairly soon! (Even though Halloween hasn’t even hit yet, Disney still works fast for the holidays.)
The PhotoPass Camera Boxes have started to make their way around Disney World to the dismay of MANY fans. And, we happened to spot even more over at Princess Fairytale Hall.
While they have been installed in the Cinderella and Elena room already (they weren’t in use during our visit, however)…
… A Cast Member informed us that they will be installed in the Rapunzel and Tiana room as well.
Although we aren’t sure when they will be used as the primary source of photography, we’ll keep you guys updated!
The TRON Coaster‘s construction just keeps making us SUPER hyped for this coaster (especially since we can spot it outside the parks too!)
After watching the cranes put the track together…
… We only felt slightly impatient waiting for the 2021 release. (;
We’ll keep you posted as this massive ride keeps growing!
Merch Updates
While we first spotted this Toy Story Land Ornament in Hollywood Studios, it’s made its way over to the Emporium in Magic Kingdom!
Featuring Slinky, a Pizza Planet Alien, and spelling blocks…
… The Toy Story Land Ornament can be added to your Christmas tree this year for $24.99!
Food Updates
We can’t visit a Disney park without taking a look at the treats, now can we?? At Big Top Treats, a new Gummy Worm Caramel Apple has arrived to go along with the Candy Corn Caramel Apple for $12.99!
Give us da gummiesss!
Although the Lost Princess Cone was available when the Arendelle Aqua treats first made their debut, the Arendelle Aqua Cone has officially replaced the dessert at Storybook Treats. (Gone but not forgotten, Lost Princess Cone!)
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Magic Kingdom! We’ll catch ya next time for more merch, food, and construction updates (and maybe some more caramel apples).

I’m looking forward to my first-ever MVMCP this year. If you’re alone, how do you get someone to take your picture using your camera for meet and greets? When will the train be running again?
DFB Sarah says
Mickey, you can ask the character attendant to take a photo for you. No opening date for the Walt Disney World Railroad.
