Happy October 1st, y’all!
So a LOT of exciting things are happening today (check ’em all out in this post!) like the grand opening of Epcot Forever and the new Epcot Experience, the Donut Box and Cool Wash are opening at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, and Disney is debuting plant-based logos and new plant-based menu items.
Buuut…it looks like Disney has one MORE change in store for us today…and it’s NOT. AWESOME.
Price Changes Reflected On Disney World Menus Throughout the Resort
We’re currently seeing TONS of food price changes on the Walt Disney World website. These affect menus across the board — parks and resorts — and include alcohol, breakfast sammies, Mickey pretzels, and more. Some drinks, like the Strawberry Margarita from Mardi Grogs Pool Bar, have increased by $1.50 online. Many draft beers have gone up from 10.00 to $10.25.
Even Disney World Refillable Mugs have seen an online price increase, though this isn’t being reflected at the resorts as of this morning (we’re guessing it’s coming soon).
But are these prices reflected on the ground, yet? Well…yes and no. Checking menus in the resorts and parks early this morning, several of them hadn’t been changed yet. But as the morning continued, we started to see lots of menus updated…right in front of our eyes!
This photo is from Fairfax Fare this morning…
…and about an hour later, it was changed to this! Now, with the new menu you can see that white milk has actually DECREASED and now costs $3.59 while chocolate milk has seen a $0.40 increase and now costs $4.19.
(Also peep that 20 cent increase on the Southwest Bowl, which also got its new plant-based logo!)
Over at Hollywood Studios’ Anaheim Produce, they’re a bit conflicted! The hanging board reads that a Frozen Golden Margarita is $12.00 while the placard reads $13.00.
Price increases are also showing at Hollywood Scoops. A Hard Root Beer Float was previously $9.00.
And it is now $9.25 (sorry for the condensation on the glass ;-D).
We have also noticed that a price increase is coming for Churros and Mickey Pretzels at select locations. Churros were $6.25 and are now being sold for $6.50.
Pretzels were $7.00…(this photo is from this morning, but the popcorn cart hadn’t opened yet)
…and now they’re being spotted around Hollywood Studios for $7.25 (photo also from this morning, but the popcorn cart was open). Regular popcorn also got a $0.25 price increase.
Over at Sunshine Day Cafe, we saw a new menu being put up this morning that noted price increases to several mixed drinks. Here’s the old menu:
And here’s the new menu.
Price Increases Are Still Rolling Out Across Property
As of this morning, many of these price changes were on the online menus, but hadn’t yet rolled out around property. Likely because locations weren’t yet open, but we also noted price changes weren’t yet in effect at a couple of food courts.
As you can see here, this morning The ‘Big Easy Breakfast’ was $11.29 at Sassagoula Floatworks.
But online, it is listed for $11.59!
So while we are seeing price increases and changes online and in a few on-the-ground locations, it looks as if these increases haven’t completely rolled out, yet. Stay tuned for more updates as we find more details!

Luckily I missed it by literally one day! Honestly these increases are small by themselves but they add up over multiple purchases and when feeding a family. I love Disney but honestly enough is enough w the ultra frequent price changes to food, tickets, etc
Dana says
How about that popcorn bucket increase of $2! 👀
Randall says
And they wonder why attendance is down…
Griz says
So glad I went in August 2019 and missed yet another increase! This just confirms my resolve in making that my last trip to WDW for a few years. Even without kids, it’s too expensive and getting more so by the day, apparently!
Brian says
I really wish the plateau would be reached already…
It amazes me that most will still pay the prices. Something tells me that all of this will really begin to be an impact after Iger leaves his position.

We’ve been coming to Disney a couple times (at least) a year since 1972… I can’t tell you how disappointed in Disney I am at the rate they are raising prices…. charging for parking , when you stay at the hotels… food and water….. ticket prices…. all the resort taxes… I get they need help in all their new attractions and hotels…. But they can take a few $$ less profit (and I have Disney Stock) …. but this is getting out of hand…
Brandon says
Basic popcorn buckets went up $2. Holy CRAP!
Look out everyone.
Next round of twice-a-year Ticket Price and AP price hike coming soon.
Look out for that article coming soon!
Jeez Disney.
Tracey says
I love all things Disney, EXCEPT THE PRICES!!!!
Pat says
Not surprised! All Disney cares about is making money. And that’s why, even though we have days left on our Park Hopper passes, I’m in no hurry to return.
Thom michaels says
Happiest place on earth if you hit the lottery.
Larry says
See that the beer prices actually went down 50 cents on Bud Light & Yuenling at Fairfax Fare! Not all bad news…
Mark says
October 1st, every year, just like clockwork.
Mickey says
It’s not just the price changes; they keep closing favorite attractions to make way for roller coasters or more thrilling rides. Not everyone is into the roller coasters or thrills, Disney! If people want to ride more roller coasters or more thrilling rides, then let them go to Universal which is known for that. Disney is and was supposed to be a family-friendly park, but that has changed over the last several years. What new rides that they say are “family-friendly ” aren’t because they have height requirements to them.
Mickey says
I still love Disney, but enough is enough with the price increases and the closing of attractions.
chris says
Holy Moly, that is crazy, I am so glad I missed this by two weeks. Kinda getting unreal with the price increases and overall everything getting more expensive.
Rebecca says
We love going to disney! We save all year to be able to afford our yearly trip, but they have out priced us this year. Apparently we will have to save for 2 years now. Hopefully we will make it next year, but with the continued raise in prices, who knows?
lmom says
I really wanted to go to Disney this year for Christmas but my husband told me too expensive ,I guess I will have to keep dreaming .
Cass says
When is Disney going to realize that hiking prices inside the parks is not necessarily a good thing for them. The higher the prices the less money people will spend, so their profit margin is not going anywhere. I’m sure I could go and spend minimal and still have a good time.
Rick Roberts says
Think the previous comments lamenting price increases are spot on…WDW needs to make an attempt ( at the very least ) to try to remember Walt wanted his Theme Parks(s) to places for families…& not just ‘wealthy’ families… we will be going again early in 2020 but then will hold off due to theses incredible & short sighted price increases…we can afford to return but on principle will hold off until WDW gets less greedy…
lmom says
My husband was going to take me for our 51st anniversary but we are not going now because of the increase, thank you Disney for ruining my HAPPY PLACE ON EARTH !!!!!!!
Jazzy says
Looks to me that the price increases as a percentage of the original price are pretty insignificant.
I think most of us are more interested in park admission ticket increases. Hasn’t there typically been ticket price increases in October in the past? Not this year, or, probably forthcoming in the coming days, or, not many websites are tracking WDW price increases because of the variable pricing there’s no longer a BIG announcement and they just inch of the variable pricing quietly?
DFB Sarah says
Jazzy, we’re still watching and reporting on increases! In early-October we saw price hikes on food/drink and more recently on merchandise. But we’ll still report on ticket prices, too!
