We’ve got our sights set on FOUR brand new restaurants coming to Disney World in the near future! Disney has kept news of these recent announcements pretty quiet, so we’ve put together everything we know about these mysterious arrivals!
With Disney World’s 50th anniversary quickly approaching and a MAJOR transformation taking place at Epcot, it certainly is a time of change at Disney World. This means that it’s also a time of change for Disney food! Oh yeah, people, there’s a whole slew of new restaurants coming to Disney World and though some of them are the talk of the town (hello, Space 220!), here are a few super exciting new dining spots that we’re REALLY looking forward to, and eagerly waiting to hear more about!
Roundup Rodeo BBQ Table-Service Restaurant
As much as we love Woody’s Lunchbox, Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios has had some serious need for a table service restaurant of its own. Well, finally the area is getting its own sit-down dining spot with the new Toy Story Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant! Yeehaw!
The Roundup Rodeo BBQ was announced back in April of 2019 and is set to open in 2020. This spot will be themed like a part of Andy’s play area, just like the rest of the land. Your table will be housed in a structure of three taped-together cardboard boxes that Andy has used to create his own rodeo arena — sounds like quite the location for a fun family meal!
The concept art for this restaurant shows a colorful family rodeo and there are even a few friendly faces, like Jessie and Woody, scattered around the decorations! This is sure to be a rollicking good time!
One of the best parts of this new spot? It’ll give Toy Story Land some much-needed shade and AC!

Princess and the Frog Restaurant
Just like in the movie, Princess Tiana is finally getting her restaurant!
This year’s D23 Expo released all sorts of exciting news, but one piece that has flown under the radar is the new Disney’s Vacation Club Reflections Resort and its accompanying Princess and the Frog-themed restaurant. Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge will be tucked between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.
The Princess and the Frog restaurant, which will be one of the dining locations at Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge, will sit along Bay Lake and be themed around natural elements. This setting will give guests the chance to dine “on the bayou” in this new table-service location. The concept art for this unnamed restaurant shows purple and green decorative elements and lighting that resembles fireflies. The floor-to-ceiling windows will allow guests to feel like their seated right on the edge of the bayou!
We sure are pumped for this one! Princess and the Frog is a newer classic and it’s awesome to see that it’s finally getting some more representation in Disney World! Though there have been no details released as to the food that will be served, we sure hope it’s inspired by the down-south cuisine of Louisiana. The location will likely open with the Reflections Resort in 2022.

Beatrix
A few new exciting dining locations are also coming to Disney Springs relatively soon! The restaurant group Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises is opening their first dining location in Disney Springs known as Beatrix.
This restaurant will feature a variety of options including a full-service restaurant, grab-and-go market, coffee lounge, fresh juices, an in-house bakery, and a full bar. With such variety, Beatrix is bound to have something for everyone!
The dining spot is taking over the space of the recently closed Bongos and construction has begun on the interior and exterior of the building. Though there is no release season announced yet, we’re hoping they’ll make quick progress on this trendy spot with a neighborhood feel.

Space 220
Last but certainly not least is the highly-anticipated restaurant coming to Future World in Epcot. Space 220 will offer a totally unique dining experience as the restaurant will seem like it’s floating in orbit! Guests will have to take a “space elevator” all the way up to the dining location and then will be treated with views of the galaxy through the windows and a “spinning wall of produce.” Futuristic!
This location will be stunningly themed and will likely come with a heavier price point. We don’t know too much about the menu at Space 220 but we do know that it will be modern American cuisine, with craft beer and over 1000 bottles of wine. This is sure to be a unique and out-of-this-world (sorry) experience, so we’re really looking forward to it!
We recently found out that Space 220 will also feature a lounge which means it should be more accessible! Many signature dining locations around Disney World have lounges that offer an alternative for guests who couldn’t get a reservation so skipping the meal doesn’t mean you can’t get a glimpse of space!
Space 220 was originally expected to open in the winter of 2020 but, due to park closures, that date was unfortunately postponed. We’re not exactly sure WHEN this new spot will be opening at this point, but recent construction might be a promising sign Space 220 COULD be launching over to EPCOT sooner than later!

Anybody else think of the bar on Three’s Company, the Regal Beagle, when they read Regal Eagle? Just me? Okay. But I will *totally* be calling it the Regal Beagle – that just sounds right. 🙂
