Hey everybody! It’s time for another roundup of What’s New in Epcot!
This is where we take you on a virtual walk around Epcot to discuss what new construction, food, and merchandise we’ve spotted!
There’s a lot happening at Epcot right now, including some exciting new World Showcase Character Plush and Mexico merch, so let’s get started!
Future World
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Coaster
Construction continues on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! Funny, it still looks like Universe of Energy to us, but it’s comin’ along!
Read more about the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster here!
Space 220 Restaurant
Meanwhile, construction on the Space 22o Restaurant is also ongoing. Will it be opening this winter as initially projected? We sure hope so!

Imagination Area
Near the Imagination pavilion, some new light posts have magically appeared!
They feature a very sleek, modern design, with tall cylindrical tubes. We can’t wait to see what they look like when they’re illuminated at night!
Check ’em out for yourself next time you’re crusin’ through Future World!
And check out even more info on Epcot’s transformation here!
Electric Umbrella
There were gray clouds over the Electric Umbrella as the BB-8 Steins were once again removed from the menu (not literally, but figuratively-speaking, of course!)
We hope these little cuties roll back in soon! Everything tastes better when it’s sipped from a BB-8 Stein! But do not fear, because he is still available at places like Backlot Express in Hollywood Studios!
Coral Reef and The Seas Area
Over by Coral Reef Restaurant and The Seas, Disney’s added some shrubbery to gussy up the construction that’s happening over there!
The greenery looks much better than all boring ol’ construction walls, so we appreciate the extra effort Disney makes to shield our eyes!
Sunshine Seasons
Swinging by the Land pavilion, we noticed Sunshine Seasons is now selling Sparking SmartWater! Fancy! Fancy!
This will be a refreshing beverage to enjoy after a ride on Soarin’ Around the World!
World Showcase
Epcot’s Skyliner Station
We saw passengers boarding gondolas once more at Epcot’s Skyliner Station over by the International gateway entrance.
Disney closed the Disney Skyliner after a collision occurred on October 5th, but we’re glad to see it up and runnin’ again!
Karamell-Küche
At Karamell-Küche in the Germany pavilion, we spotted a new Pumpkin Caramel Cupcake! It features an incredible homemade Werther’s Original Caramel that’s made fresh right at Karamell-Küche!
Read our review of the Pumpkin Caramel Cupcake here!
And if that doesn’t satisfy your caramel itch, check out the new Boozy Caramel Squares! Best part? You got all four unique alcohol-infused caramels for only $4.29!
Not sure if we’re buzzin’ from all the sugar or the booze, but these things are ridiculously-good!
Read our review of the Boozy Caramels here!
Over at the France pavilion, Impressions de France is now closed to make way for the Beauty and the Beast sing-along that is coming soon!
We can’t wait to belt out a few bars of our favorite tunes from this enchanting movie. Look out, Mrs. Potts! We’re comin’ for ya!
Read more about the Beauty and the Beast sing-along here!
Kringla Bakeri og Kafe
At Kringla in the Norway pavilion, we noticed they were offering a Frozen Skyliner Cookie for $4.99. Put your head back on, Olaf!
We’ve seen these cookies at various places throughout the parks, but found it rather poetic that the sisters were hangin’ out in Norway!
Read our Disney Skyliner cookie review here!
Merchandise Update
Mouse Gear
Is there anything more satisfying than a Disney shopping spree? Tell the world every day you be castlin’ with this new Rainbow Shirt for $34.99.
And the outfit isn’t complete without the matching Rainbow Leggings for $34.99.
Check out Mouse Gear’s impressive selection of novelty socks! Plus, they were running a sale —$14.99 each or $11 if you buy 2!
We spotted a bunch of new ones including Best Day Ever Socks…
…and this pair of mismatched Pooh and Tigger Socks!
There were also these Rose Gold Mickey Cherry Socks! Adorable and nutritious!
Or maybe you’re more of a Tie Dye Mickey Sock person!
We think these Star and Mickey Socks will look great with our new ‘80s style Mousercise and Retro Mickey Mouse Club gear we nabbed earlier!
We’d spotted the Gadget’s Garage Shirt earlier this week, but today we spied the Gadget’s Garage Phone Case for $29.99.
We also saw this super-cute Rescue Rangers Phone Case for $29.99!
We also noticed a sign for a special Rebecca Hook Jewelry Event that will be taking place on October 18th-19th at Mouse Gear!
Disney Traders
Some holiday merch has started flurrying into Disney World! We spotted these sweet new Christmas Buttons at Disney Traders for $9.99.
Also at Disney Traders, we spotted these FABULOUS World Showcase Plush toys for $29.99 featuring some of our favorite Disney characters sporting various traditional attire! Check out the Canada Mickey Plush in his plaid flannel shirt and beanie (or as they’re known in Canada, a toque!)!
And how charming is this Norway Minnie Plush? Whatta sweetie!
But perhaps our favorite is Mexico Donald Duck! He looks just like Donald when he greets us at the Mexico pavilion!
We also spotted this new Disney Parks Monopoly for $49.99 at Disney Traders! It’s even got the new Rise of the Resistance Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction on its cover!
Read about the Rise of the Resistance attraction coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios here!
Mexico Paviliom
While Mouse Gear and Disney Traders has some pretty good stuff, we found the motherload of new merch at the Mexico pavilion! It looks like they’ve just released an entire new Mexico line of accessories! Check out the Mexico Tumbler for $39.99 — perfect for sipping Mexican hot chocolate!
And how adorable is the graphic of this Mexico Youth Shirt for $19.99!?
We also scoped out the new Mexico Mickey Shirt for $24.99.
There’s also a Mexico Coaster Set for $19.99 which features the same Mickey design on one coaster…
…with Donald playing the trumpet on the other!
We’re tempted by this new ceramic Mexico Mug for $16.99.
And you could make one seriously enormous batch of guacamole with this new Mexico Bowl for $12.99. Maybe it’s more sensible to put chips in it, but we’re all about dat guac!
There was also this reasonably-sized Mexico Margarita Glass for $16.99.
And this Large Mexico Margarita Glass for $49.99! Margarita? More like MONSTERITA!
We thought the new Mexico Tote Bag was totes adorbs for $29.99.
And can we just say how obsessed we are with this Fiesta Banner for $16.99? Who wants to come over for a party RIGHT NOW?!
Speaking of a party, the Mexico Shot Glass for $9.99, will help kick off our fiesta nicely!
And when its time for a siesta afterward, we can cuddle up with this new Mexico Throw for $54.99!
We also spotted this fitted Women’s Mexico Shirt for $29.99. It’s a gorgeous dark teal and we adore the colorful design on its front!
France Pavilion
The last stop of our world travels was the France pavilion where we saw this super-cute Emperor’s New Groove-inspired Parasol! Even though these hand-decorated umbrellas have been at Disney World since even we were little kids, we love seeing the new designs they keep coming up with!
Well folks, that’s all for this installment of What’s New in Epcot — until next time! Stay tuned as we’ll be reporting back soon with all the latest construction, food, and merchandise news!

Gary Pearson says
Mickey is wearing a toque. Any Canadian will tell you that.
Susan Chapman says
I am so sad that Impressions de France has closed. It is a real shame that guests will not be able to experience that beautiful movie showing the sights of France and hear that stirring, inspiring music. What a loss. It was always a breath of fresh air and a place to escape for a short time and be rejuvenated. Why do all of these beloved attractions have to be axed to make way for movie-themed reminders. Quality entertainment is definitely now at issue. These choices are so unlike the Disney brand we’re used to.
DFB Sarah says
Susan, Impressions de France isn’t going permanently. In early 2020, the film will begin alternating with a Beauty and the Beast sing-a-long.
