We hear those sleigh bells ringin’… and so do guests in Animal Kingdom!
That’s because holiday decorations just keep showing up in the park! We found new decorations all over including in Dinoland U. S. A., Discovery Island, and MORE!
Though we’re still patiently awaiting the Christmas tree to go up at the entrance of the park, we’ve started to see some of the cool new holiday decorations that are debuting in Animal Kingdom this holiday season.
You might remember we got news of some holiday enhancements making their way to Animal Kingdom this year, including decorations around the park like arctic lanterns and life-size puppets!
Well, the lanterns are here! We noticed the new animal lanterns lining the rooftops of Riverside Depot and Island Mercantile on Discovery Island.
There’s tons of different animal designs including owls, wolves, squirrels, and more!
The lanterns aren’t being lit at night yet, but they should light the sky on November 8th! We have a feeling that Animal Kingdom is going to look like a glowing Christmas wonderland with these pretty decorations!
But the real Christmas explosion is happening over in Dinoland U. S. A.! You might remember that we noticed a bunch of lights on the Dinoland Water Tower near Restaurantosaurus. Well, today we spotted a bunch of string lights wrapped around that big dino skeleton near the Bone Yard.
This big guy is sure to be an awesome sight when he’s all lit up! But he’s not the only dino getting the Christmas treatment… Chester and Hester’s Santa-saurus is BACK! Santa-saurus is a fun example of the laugh-out-loud quality that Dinoland’s Christmas decorations tend to have. We might freak a little if we saw this Santa come down our chimneys! Luckily, this festive dinosaur is going to be hanging out in Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures for the season.
We can’t let the big dinos get all the love, though! That’s because there are some positively merry little dinos celebrating at Chester’s and Hester’s too! These guys are so cheeky and SO adorable — easily our fave piece of holiday decor.
I mean, just look at them! Tiny dinos in tiny Christmas sweaters??
They’re hidden all over in the store and we had a blast trying to find as many festive baby dinos as we could! The Imagineer who came up with this decorative idea deserves a solid high-five!
So, there you have it! That’s all the new decorations at Animal Kingdom…SO FAR! We’re likely to see even more in the next few days before the season officially kicks off on November 8th. It looks like we’re in for a roarin’ Christmastime!
