That’s right! A Candy Bar.
No… not a candy bar
A Candy Bar!
Yep, when I was at the Disney Social Media Moms conference last month the attendees were treated to a real live Candy Bar! How cool is this?! All of my favorites were there, including those fabulously sour, chalky suckers that fall off of their sticks half the time but are still ab fab — you know what I’m talking about…
Jelly Beans, Rock Candy, Ribbon Candy, Giant Lollipops, Chocolate Candies… you name it! And there were even some clever little multi-colored takeaway boxes in which to haul our stashes!
Here’s a whole smorgasboard of photos — some of my favorite parts of the Bar!
And along with the colorful candy came a colorful theme. I really liked all of the bright, eye-popping theming!
What a fun, fun idea! I know — I’m out of the loop when it comes to weddings — but I do know I love this particular trend. What’s better than a celebration that includes a giant cake AND a Candy Bar like this one? Sign me up!

We almost did this for my (upcoming) wedding. We found someone to do it for us and then she wouldn’t call us back when we tried to book 🙁

Love this idea, it’s so bright and colorful and fun! (I wonder if William and Kate are going to have one of these at the wedding today…hahaha 🙂 )

We did one at our wedding in 2008 – it was easy, fun and made for awesome leftovers :). I think the first year of our marriage was one pure sugar rush! Sadly we never got any photos like the beautiful ones above – we’ll have to use our chocolate-laced memories 🙂

We had a candy buffet at our wedding in April 2009 – it was so, so much fun for our guests! That was what we were complimented on the most, and it was what our guests said they remembered and loved. At the end of the night, we had plenty leftover, and my mom was sending my friends home with plastic cups filled with M&Ms, etc. If you’re getting married, I would definitely recommend doing a candy buffet!

We did the candy buffet as well in August of 2007.. I’m a candy freak.. oh, and our cake had cake balls 🙂 I have a sweet tooth, what can I say? We matched our colors – pinks, greens, and browns.. good and plenty, licorice wheels, chocolates, colorful m&ms, etc… I love candy.. Plus, it was an easy and inexpensive party favor!

It looks so inviting that I think I want to re-new my vows, just so I could hit the bar after the service. Thanks for sharing, it’s something I’ve never seen before, and it’s pretty cool.

I had a candy bar at my bridal shower (which was fall/Halloween themed) and it was a hit. I love the idea cause more and more people these days do not like cake, at least this gives them something to enjoy at a wedding and not be left out.
The bright colors are awesome!

This one is beautiful and so colorful. I did one for my daughters birthday after seeing my sister do it at her wedding
