It’s the second star to the right and straight on until Disney’s Beach Club Resort!
Every year, an integral part of the holidays comes in the form of massive gingerbread structures around Disney World. Well, the 20th Anniversary Gingerbread Carousel is here at the Beach Club and it is absolutely wonderful! Plus, it brings some tasty specialty treats with it to the nearby snack stand.
Every year, the Gingerbread Carousel pops up in the lobby of the Beach Club with a new theme (last year’s was Donald Duck-themed!) and the 2019 Carousel arrived with a STUNNING Peter Pan theme today.
It’s the 20th Anniversary of the Beach Club’s Carousel and the chefs really went all out with an exquisitely detailed creation. The top of the structure is lined with the silhouettes of London at night and there are nods to Peter Pan hidden all over the Carousel! Check out Peter Pan and the Darlings soaring through the sky.
The Carousel has famous items from Peter Pan such as John’s glasses, Michael’s teddy, and there’s even Nana! And, in true Beach Club tradition, the horses are all named and styled after characters from the theme. On the carousel you’ll spot a Wendy horse complete with ponytail and blue nightdress.
There’s a Peter Pan horse with that signature red feather in his cap and a depiction of the rest of the lost boys.
On the other side, there’s a Smee horse complete with spectacles and his iconic red hat (it kind of looks like a Santa hat to us!).
And a Tinkerbell horse with that classic blond do’ and even massive fairy wings!
This year, there’s even an extra horse to pay tribute to a famous Neverland pirate — Captain Hook.
He’s missing his left hoof in favor of a glistening silver hook!
This year’s Carousel also features 20 hidden Mickeys in honor of the 20 years of Gingerbread craftsmanship. Stop by the Beach Club to see if you can spot them all but we’ll give you a hint to get started: There’s one on the Smee horse!
If you’re wondering just how much gingerbread goes into constructing this thing, you’re not alone! That’s why the chefs have so kindly listed all of the ingredients out for us. Along with 100 lbs of honey, 300 lbs of bread flour, 100 lbs of eggs, and more; the Carousel also uses 2,019 pieces of gingerbread! WOWZA!! There’s so much detail they even matched the gingerbread to the year!
And don’t worry if you work up an appetite staring at this yummy structure because there are some sweet holiday treats nearby! Swing by the Hot Chocolate Bar to try out some classic hot chocolate or a special offering like the hot cocoa flight! Plus you can grab this gorgeous commemorative cookie that features Peter Pan for $6.39.
The hot cocoa bar features a TON of toppings and all of the cocoa is made with Ghirardelli chocolate. Yummmm.
Also in the lobby is the Gingerbread Counter where there are some other special holiday offerings in celebration of the Carousel!
There are massive gingerbread shingles that you can take home with you. Rejects from the Carousel? We wouldn’t be surprised!
Snack on a chocolate-dipped oreo that have classic Peter Pan characters on them.
Or even paint your own cookie with edible icing paints!
There’s a few diet-friendly options too for those who need them. These thin mints and gingerbread cookies are gluten-free, vegan, and kosher.
AND there’s some exclusive merchandise to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Gingerbread Carousel. We spotted these mugs…
…a cute little Christmas tree ornament…
…aaaannnd this stunning commemorative pin!
We certainly can’t get enough of looking at this gingerbread masterpiece and we’ll probably be stopping in again for the sights and tastes at the Beach Club! If you’re in Disney World this season, you don’t want to miss out on seeing the Gingerbread Carousel for yourself!

I could have sworn that I saw the Gingerbread Shingle cookies are $9.50 at the Grand Floridian. Don’t know if they are exactly the same though. I’ve noticed this before though; different prices for the same items, at different resorts.
