Greetings, world travelers!
We’re reporting in from Epcot today to give you a few updates from around the park! We’re dreading the end of Epcot Food and Wine Festival on November 23, but we are anxiously awaiting the beginning of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays on November 29. So, we’ve been keeping an eye out for updates related to the upcoming festival switch! Read on to check out everything new in food, construction, and merchandise in Epcot.
Epcot Food Updates
Future World
We’re headed to Future World first to check out a surprising menu change at Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion. About a year ago, we spotted the Deep Dish Pizza on the menu at Sunshine Seasons, and though it wasn’t a true deep dish it stood the test of time. Well, the Deep Dish Pizza is NO MORE in favor of a thinner, more standard slice of pizza.
World Showcase
Over in World Showcase, we spotted that supah-cute Mickey Tree Popcorn Bucket at the Canada Popcorn Cart. You know what that means??? You can get it filled with MAPLE POPCORN!!!
With a quick skip over to France, we saw that Les Vins de France had a new prepackaged snack offering. You can now get Laughing Cow Mini Crepes at the wine shop. We didn’t even know this was a product that existed but miniature crepes? We can get behind that.
Epcot Construction Updates
Multiple Locations
Do you see what I see? That’s right, Christmas decorations!
We spotted the signs of new decorations popping up all over the park today and it’s really putting us in the Christmas spirit.
Plus, that means we’re one step closer to all the new eats at Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
Future World
As usual, we checked in on the construction over at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. There’s another construction barrier up so it’s difficult to see from guest areas but construction seems to be moving along.
We wonder if they’re working as much on the inside as they are one the outside! The Guardians coaster is set to open sometime before Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021.
Just around the bend near Mission: SPACE, we’ve seen external developments at Space 220. It’s been a WHILE since we’ve seen work being done on the outside, so the fact that external painting is going on has us really excited. Could this mean that we’re nearing the completion of construction? We sure hope so!
The upcoming space-themed restaurant set to open this winter — read all about it here!
We also spotted some other construction along the pathway into the World Showcase. There’s some barriers up between Refreshment Port and the Hawai’i Festival Booth and it looks like they might be finishing up with the rumored new restrooms.
World Showcase
You might have heard about the new Race Against the Sun: Ancient Technique to Modern Competition exhibit in the Morocco Pavilion. We dashed over to check it out for ourselves. This exhibit is super informative and has immersive elements too! It’s a great way to learn about two extreme competitions that take place in the Sahara desert!

Epcot Merchandise Updates
World Showcase
There’s not much in the way of new merchandise in Epcot but we did HAVE to check in on the WILD parasol we spotted recently. You might remember it… It had princess heads on animal bodies. Yeah…THAT one.
Read all about this parasol here!
Well, there’s no sign of that interesting parasol (did someone buy it??), but we did see a cute Christmas one…
… and a Disney snacks parasol. We’re digging this snack one, y’all!
And there you have it, folks! Allllll the new updates at Epcot today. We’re sure to see a lot of changes for the upcoming festival switch so we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
