This year Disney World has been going through some serious “ch-ch-ch-changes”!
As with every change, there have been some good, bad, and in between, and Disney fans will ALWAYS let you know what’s what! Today we’re looking at some of the recent changes in the DW that Disney Worlders have actually really LIKED!
Water Bottle Refill Stations
We don’t think we’re breaking any news here when we say Florida is HOT! To stay hydrated in the parks, it is all too easy to go a little crazy buying water bottles (which becomes expensive REAL fast). But now, Disney World has made it MUCH easier to bring a water bottle to the park that you can refill, providing multiple water bottle refill stations around the parks!
Refillable bottle stations are designed to send a single stream of filtered water into your water bottle or cup without touching the bottle, making them the perfect way to fill up any container you bring into the parks with you. While currently there are only a handful of refillable bottle stations around the parks, we have seen them popping up in newer sections such as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which gives us some hope that we will see more of this eco-friendly water option in the future!

Discounted Upgraded MagicBands for Resort Guests
For Disney World Resort guests and Annual Passholders, this year brought with it the opportunity for a big MagicBand upgrade!

Removal of Leave a Legacy Monoliths
It would be easier to list what’s NOT changing at Epcot in the coming years versus what IS changing! While there’s a wide spectrum of reactions to each of the changes coming, one change that has been widely welcomed has been the removal of the Leave a Legacy monoliths at the entrance of Epcot to make way for a new entrance!

Refillable Mug Upgrade
While we wouldn’t blame you for filing this one under “too soon to tell”, we’re pretty excited to see the reaction to the new refillable mug upgrade being offered at Disney World!

All in all, Disney World has been making some AWESOME changes lately, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Most Magical Place on Earth!

How can you find the refillable water bottle stations? Are they on the app map?
DFB Sarah says

Thank you for your work, you guys made our Disney Vacation easier than ever by knowing Disney things in advance and planning for the vacation.
Small news for Disney Dining Plans,
As the Disney webpage and App allows exact track of adults “Table service” and Kids “table Service”, the restaurants didn’t let us use Kids table services for Adults or viceversa.
A lot of good or better restaurants that I did reservations in advance used 2 table service per meal, Disney should make an extra effort to flag or identify them. Although when you sit, the servers were always clear.
But the use of dining plan itself is confusing. As long as you know and plan should be ok.
I am a foodie, I like to share sometimes big plates with my husband, probably next time we will have Deluxe Disney Dining Plan.
We bough last day and packed a bunches of snacks in our suitcases and they were the perfect present from Disney.
I could not use Counter Service either for any Table Service.
Still Disney Dinning Plan made our meals time easy going and stress free.
Vacation on December 15-20, 2019.

we will definately upgrade to the new mug..on our last trip this past Nov. a couple of days it was almost 100…we were happy to see quite a few places had cups of ice water available without us having to ask…another reason why we vacation at Disney…
