And while Epcot’s 2020 Festival of the Arts menus were released today, the same goes for its line-up of super-fun, interactive workshops!
Being on the DFB Team, of course, we’re all about the Epcot’s Festival of the Arts food! But this year’s Fest has got you covered, whether you’re struck by hunger or a sudden bolt of inspiration! Let’s take a look at the wide selection of hands-on experiences you can have at the 2020 Epcot’s Festival of the Arts!

Ink & Paint Animation
This will be presented by Lynn Rippberger, Disney Animation Ink and Paint Artist and will take place each Saturday throughout the festival at 10 AM.
Many of Disney’s animated features were created with 2D Cel Animation. In this class, guests will get to learn about the history of 2D Cel Animation and paint their own Ink & Paint Cel!
Each week, guests will paint a different Disney character:
- Saturday, January 18, 2020 – Mickey Mouse
- Saturday, January 25, 2020 – Minnie Mouse
- Saturday, February 1, 2020 – Donald Duck
- Saturday, February 8, 2020 – Pluto
- Saturday, February 15, 2020 – Goofy
- Saturday, February 22, 2020 – Mickey Mouse
Disney 3D Paper Crafting
This will be presented by Dave Avanzino, Dave Avanzino Designs, Inc.

In this workshop, guests will create their own dimensional paper artwork. They’ll learn techniques to cut, fold, and add spacers to their work to create 3D Disney shadowbox art.
Gesture Drawing Basics: “Story Telling Drawings”
This workshop will be presented by Todd Bright, Bright Animation.

Here, guests can learn the art of quick sketching from a former Disney animator whose credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear. During this workshop, guests will create their own sketch to take home.
Animation 101: Flip Book Fundamentals
This will also be presented by Todd Bright, Bright Animation.

Here, guests will create their own moving magic and watch their drawings come to life during this animated workshop! Guests will learn the fundamental principles of animation with a former Disney animator and tools to complete the creation will be provided!
Doodling with Viz
This workshop will be presented by Gregg “Viz” Visintainer, Owner of Viz Art Ink and WonderGround Artist

This workshop allows guests to learn, watch, and draw a own doodle with hidden pictures and words to create a Viz Art Ink masterpiece.
Epcot’s 2020 Festival of the Arts runs from January 17th through February 24th, 2020.
