Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs never lets us down when it comes to needing a great spot for lunch!
And if you’re looking for a sweet treat to follow up one of the shop’s delicious hot and cold sandwiches, then you’re gonna probably gonna love what we found on our latest trip there!
That’s right, a new boss is in the house at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs — the Cake Boss! A Carlo’s Bakery Treats case has arrived at Earl of Sandwich, serving up a variety of sweet pastry treats to enjoy with your sandwich.
We picked up two of their offerings, including the Rainbow Cake Slice, which was available for $10.95. The cake came with six layers of vanilla cake, all dyed to make for a beautiful rainbow!
The side of the cake was frosted with buttercream icing, and came with a generous helping of rainbow sprinkles.
Overall, we thought this one just tasted like a pretty standard vanilla cake! While the cake was very fresh, and the buttercream was super yummy, we kind of wish that each of the layers had a variety of flavors, instead of just all vanilla. That being said, because of the vibrant colors, kids would probably love this one!
Then there’s the Black and White Cookie, which is available for $3.95!
This was delicious, and definitely the standout of the two for us! The cookie was super-soft, without being crumbly. It tasted incredibly fresh, and paired well with the royal icing (which was also very yummy). The chocolate icing tasted a bit like the icing they use on chocolate-frosted donuts, and might have been one of our favorite parts of the whole treat!

We have these cake boss vending machines in Toronto. The cake looks the same (and in the same packaging). For the price they are pretty disappointing. The first week there was a huge line, but I guess everyone realized they weren’t good because there never seems to be people buying anymore.

I would never pick that rainbow cake. No way! The chocolate and the vanilla cookie, however, looks delicious!

Btw, the RoD is one of my faves!

I had the rainbow cake at Carlo’s bakery and I thought it was delicious! Can’t wait to get it again? Are these desserts included in the dining plan does anyone know?

Are they on the Disney Snack Credit?

Wish they would put his Napoleon’s in there. Best dessert I’ve ever eaten.

I love black and white cookies! They should be very soft or it’s not a real black and white. When I was little my Dad and I would get a big one at a bakery to split.
