We love when food and charity can come together.
And, the Disney Chefs are teaming up for TWO nights of delicious meals, entertainment, and a way to benefit the community next month!
If you’re looking to help out the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida while you dine on food specially created by Disney Chefs, then you’re going to want to head to these two dinner events!
On February 6th, you can try an entire four-course meal inspired by Valentine’s Day to benefit the Darden Foundation Community Kitchen’s Culinary Training Program! Chef’s Night will begin with a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres before guests can dive into the meal created by the Walt Disney World Resort Food & Beverage Concept Development Team.
The first course will include Lobster Bisque with Pink-Tipped Parsley, Crispy Parsnip, Lobster Oil, and Lemon Crème Fraiche, while the second course features the “Inner Beauty” made of Beet Heart, Rose Hip, Lingonberry, and Oxalis. The main course will have Beef Wellington with Red Wine Demi, Mushrooms, Baby Squash Blossom, and Sweet Potato Purée, followed by the Strawberries and Cream with Plant City Strawberries, Chantilly Cream, and Chocolate-Caramel Cake for dessert. Plus, you can sip on wine pairings selected by Master Sommelier Brian Koziol during each course to elevate your meal even more! You can purchase tickets and check out more information for the Orlando-based event here!
The Field to Feast Dinner is back again for its 7th year in Zellwood, Florida on February 22nd from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM! The Disney Chefs will be pairing with Edible Orlando Magazine to benefit the Kids Café Program of Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida as they cook al fresco at Long & Scott Farms. The afternoon will include live music, farm tours, a raffle, and wines and cocktails selected by Master Sommelier George Miliotes of Wine Bar George (!!!), and dishes inspired by the Disney World Parks and Resorts!
The restaurants being featured include Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, Tiffins, The Hollywood Brown Derby, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Golden Oak, Amorette’s Patisserie, and The Ganachery. Plus, the Epcot Festival chefs, Animal Kingdom Lodge Bakery Team, Grand Floridian Weddings Team, and Disney Park Events Operations and Premium Events Team will be joining in on the fun too! Tickets for the Field to Feast Dinner are $175 per person (100% of the proceeds go to the Kids Café Program) and can be purchased here! But, you might want to hurry since there’s a limited amount of space and the event has sold out every year!
We’d definitely need our stretchy pants to go to both of these events! 😉 You can keep up with all the dining news in the Disney Parks by subscribing to our newsletter!
