Ain’t no party like a Disney party because a Disney party has a trove of unique food and drinks for a limited time. This year’s Lunar New Year celebration at the Disneyland Resort is going on until February 9th and we’ve already seen some fantastic items this year, like the Smoked Bulgogi Beef Short Rib and the Peach Sojito.
Two more items at Disney’s California Adventure have caught our eye, or rather, our stomachs that will satisfy your need for savory flavors and your thirst for a refreshing cocktail as you enjoy the festivities.
First up, we have these Pork Belly Egg Rolls! The egg rolls are baked to a crisp and stuffed with pork belly. A spicy mango glaze is drizzled on top and then it is served with pickled carrots, leaf lettuce, cucumber, cilantro and pork rinds on the side.
There was a nice crunch to the egg roll. We did notice that there seemed to be more veggies than pork inside the egg rolls, but the mango glaze was on point. Not too spicy, just the right amount of kick.
This is easily an entree for one person, but if you’re looking for a snack, you can totally split this with another person. You can find these ONLY at the upstairs section of the Lamplight Lounge for $16.
If you need something to wash down those egg rolls, the Lamplight Lounge also has a Lunar New Year Cocktail with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Craft Soju, strawberry, mango, lemon grass, and citrus.
This drink is very deceptive as the strawberry flavor comes through the most. You wouldn’t know by the fruity flavor that there was alcohol in there, so be careful if you order a couple of these. 😉
It’s too bad this is only a temporary item because it’s very refreshing. If you want to pick yourself up a glass, it’ll run you $15.50. Lunar New Year ends February 9th, so if you want to grab either of these items, make sure you do it fast.
