The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History has left Magic Kingdom and Epcot’s Regal Eagle Smokehouse (fronted by the greatest patriot of our times, Sam the Eagle) has yet to open! But the blows haven’t stopped there! Muppet*Vision 3D is currently closed for refurb, and TODAY we noticed a very important figurehead of Muppet fandom is MISSING!
Excuse me, but where did the Statue of Miss Piggy go?!? She was just here on our last Hollywood Studios walkthrough, but now she’s gone M.I.A.!
No Miss Piggy 🙁
There’s just a sad little piece of pipe where she once stood! Our girl was looking a little rough when we saw her earlier this week so we’re hoping she’s just off somewhere powdering her nose! She’s been known to disappear from time to time to refresh her look and since Muppet*Vision 3D is also undergoing some maintenance, we’re hoping she’ll be back in a jiffy!

Besides, the Muppet Courtyard just isn’t the same without her! And the Statue of Miss Piggy has been such a beacon of hope in our lives! Her location just outside of the Gonzo Royal Flush restrooms has always been a guiding light to one of our favorite lavatories at Hollywood Studios!

We’ll keep an eye out for Miss Piggy’s safe return (PRETTY PLEASE!!!), but for now, there’s no reason to panic…yet!

She was leaking water badly in November, I’m thinking they are cleaning her up and fixing any leaks, so that when they put her back, she is up to “Disney Standards”. Either that, or they are putting a new water fountain piece onto the top of the fountain – at this point who knows what they are thinking about the Muppets?
They really need to re-do the entire Muppet attraction. Its really dated and has been there with no changes since the park opened.
