S-U-G-A-R, jump into your racing car!
It’s time to cruise on over to the Disney Dream ’cause we’re trying some of the most adorable Easter treats around!
If you’ve ever been on the Dream, you’ll know that Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats is a great spot for dessert on the high seas. This adorable sweets shop is celebrating Easter early with special holiday treats!
But, before we taste anything… we’ve gotta stop for a minute to admire how CUTE Vanellope’s is! It’s like you’re stepping right into the world of “Sugar Rush,” complete with plenty of candy…
…and even a few photo opportunities with some of your favorite Wreck It Ralph characters! (It’s a good thing that’s not a double stripe Candy Cane, Vanellope!)
Now to the treats, Stinkbrains! Although there are so many things to choose from (ice cream, cupcakes, cookies), the new Easter treats caught our eye at Vanellope’s.
The Easter Bunny Cupcake is a carrot cake topped with lemon buttercream, white chocolate shavings, and a chocolate bunny.
While we usually LOVE a good carrot cake, we have to say that this one is a bit too dry for us. It didn’t have that soft melt-in-your-mouth texture that we really go for in a carrot cake! Most of the moisture comes from the thick lemon buttercream on top (literally, it’s piled so high, you guys). And, although we think that the buttercream has a nice tart flavor, it doesn’t really work with the carrot cake.
The lemon is pretty overpowering compared to the carrot cake, so the flavors just don’t combine together like we were hoping (sad face). Even if you are a carrot cake STAN, you might want to skip this treat and hold out for a good ole’ cream cheese frosting and carrot cake combo instead!
Next up is the Easter Blondie Brownie, topped with a chocolate truffle mousse, sprinkles, a sugar “nest,” and jelly bean “eggs.”
Um, this might just be one of the cutest Easter treats EVER!! Just look at it!
Just like the Easter Bunny Cupcake, we aren’t really digging the flavors of the Easter Blondie Brownie either. The blondie doesn’t have much of a taste, so it’s a little too bland. The chocolate mousse on top is rich and tasty, but there isn’t enough of it to make up for the lack of sweetness from the blondie. We did love the addition of the jelly beans, though, for a burst of fruity flavor!! 😉
Even though we didn’t really vibe with the Easter treats, Vanellope’s is still a must-see spot to visit if you’re on the Dream! If you still want that adorable Insta photo out at sea, you can grab the Easter Bunny Cupcake and Blondie Brownie for $4.50 each!
