Earlier this week, the attraction unexpectedly closed due to an attraction malfunction in Disney World. While we’ve been anxiously waiting for the ghosts to huuurrryyyy baaackkk, we’ve got some good news for all you ghouls out there!
The Grim Grinning Ghost are out to socialize ’cause the Haunted Mansion is BACK open! Guests can grab their death certificates (if they don’t become the 1,000th happy haunt, that is) now that the ride’s issues have been smoothed out. And, we’re feeling lots of hot and cold running chills with happiness!

Now that the ride has reopened, we’re keeping an eye on whether there will be any FastPasses available tonight on the My Disney Experience app so you can take your spot in your Doom Buggy more quickly!

If you’re in Magic Kingdom today, you may want to head over to Haunted Mansion to welcome it back! But before you head over, make sure to check your My Disney Experience App in case the happy haunts have stirred up trouble again and caused the ride to close back down!

I’m very glad that the Haunted Mansion ride has reopened. I’m curious as to why it closed down in the first place as well as what the holdup was. It is a classic ride that I would miss terribly if it ever shut down completely.
