We will update this post as we get more information.
On March 27th, Disney World announced that the parks would remain closed “until further notice.”
While we don’t have any official word from Disney on a projected reopening date for the parks, we did notice something interesting on the reservations site. This might give us a clue about Disney’s current thinking on the timeline for reopening.
Information provided within the Resort Operations Update section of the Disney World website indicates that, at press time, reservations can only be made for dates June 1st and later.
The site states, “For Guests who are interested in modifying their existing travel dates or making a new reservation for a future vacation, reservations are currently available for travel dates June 1 and later. As always, Guests are able to modify these bookings if Walt Disney World Resort opens before or after that time.”
Additionally, the new private Free Dining offer Disney World is offering only to guests whose reservations were directly affected by the closure is available only for vacations booked for dates June 1st through the end of September.
Based on this information, it seems like Disney World is not planning on opening before June 1st at the moment, but they are leaving the door open just in case with language like “Guests are able to modify these bookings if Walt Disney World Resort opens before or after that time.”
When researching this possibility, our team tried booking hotel and dining reservations between today and May 31st. We were unable to make a hotel reservation anytime from now through the end of May.
Nearly all of the hotels were listed as unavailable for the dates selected.
At first glance, it appeared that The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort had availability because they showed a price where the other resorts were listed as unavailable. But when we advanced to the next page, all room types were also listed as unavailable, so no reservation could be made at these resorts either.
The earliest date for which we were able to book a reservation was June 1st.
We noticed something similar for Advance Dining Reservations (i.e. restaurant reservations). All restaurants show as having no times available for all dates from now through May 31st, with the exception of Ravello and Capa, which are located at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando.
As with hotels, we were able to book dining reservations for dates from June 1st forward.
Again, we have no official word from Disney on when they plan to reopen the parks and resorts, but we will keep an eye out for any additional updates, so be sure to stay tuned!

We have reservations starting May 22. Everything we did previously (ADRs & fast passes) are still there, but I wasn’t able to make any new dining reservations. We can modify fast passes.

We have a trip planned for 5/27-6/2! What are your thoughts on whether we should reschedule? Thanks!

I just checked the operations update and it is the original statement. It doesn’t say anything about booking as of June 1st

Our vacation starts May 30 and goes till June 6 with DVC points. I couldn’t buy tickets as we need to start making our FP+ in two days. So I ended up buying Annual Passes…now I even wonder if I will be able to make FP+ in two days if we can’t arrive until June 1. Contemplating jus canceling it all while we can still get money back. Wonder about the early morning ticket we bought for May 31.

We currently have a reservation 5/31-6/5. Last week we were able to book dining reservations with no issues. Still hoping to be able to make fast passes this week
