It looks like we finally have confirmation from Disney that Annual Passholders at both Disney World and Disneyland will be VERY relieved to hear!
It seems in light of the recent decision to extend the temporary closures at both parks indefinitely, they’ve made some amendments to their AP refund and payment policies!
Below you’ll find a screenshot of the updated information regarding Disney World Annual Passholders. While previously we had reported your Annual Pass Membership will be extended for however many days the parks remained closed, Disney is ALSO now offering a partial refund option to guests who have already paid in full and want to forgo having their tickets extended.
If you’re on a monthly payment plan, effective April 5th all monthly payments are being waived until the parks reopen AND Disney will be refunding any payments made between March 14th and April 4th!
If you have any questions, you can contact Disney World’s Annual Passholder Support at (407) 939-7277. They are expecting a heavy volume of calls, so please be patient or wait a few days before reaching out if you can.
Disneyland is similarly offering its APs who have already paid for their passes in full partial refunds in lieu of extensions. They will also be delaying payments for their Annual Passholders who are making monthly payments until the parks reopen! Plus, Disneyland will also be issuing refunds for any payments made between March 14th and April 4th.
Any questions or concerns you may have can be directed to Disneyland’s Annual Passholder Member Services at (714)781-7277. Again, they’re expecting a lot of calls right now, so you might have to wait on hold for quite a while.
We will continue to update you on Disney’s closure and refund situation!

Wonder what the partial payment would involve. I’m an out of state AP. We used our passes 6 days when we bought them, my daughter and I used 3 more days in January and I have two trips planned (May & July) that I may cancel. The AP expires in August. I they stay closed until July and the extension would last thru our November trip I’d take the extension if they’re only going to offer me $100 credit cuz $900 is a lot for 6-9 days of use.

We made a big downpayment on passes and it would be a big waste of money to not get our full year.

Yes 407-739-7277 is one of our company phone numbers and we are being inundated with calls for annual pass holders that should be calling 407-939-7277. Please update this asap.

Where’s the retroactive refund for those that paid in March/early April? Our payment was taken out the 17th of March, but still haven’t gotten our refund! It’s now April 25th and nothing!

Just a couple notes from my experience with the V.I.Passholder line for others who may be dealing with them.
First, “Paid in Full” apparently means you paid in full when purchasing the pass. I was told I was not eligible for a partial refund, even though we made the last monthly payment nearly a month before the closure took effect. So, even though we were paid off in full, no money back because we renewed our passes on the monthly payment program.
Second, the other alternative, annual pass extension, isn’t working out well for us either. We have FL Resident Weekday Select passes. We had a month left on our passes when the parks closed, with three weeks left before the April blockout. I was told by V.I.Passholder that yes, my pass could be extended for one month from the date the parks opened. Problem is, Silver and Weekday Select passholders are blocked out through August 6. I pointed out that I lost three weeks of park time and extending the pass through a time we were blocked out gave us no time in the parks. I got the “Yes….sorry that’s the way it is….have a magical day” kind of response.
They did agree to put in a request for a “review” of my situation, so we will see what ultimately happens. In the end Disney usually tries to make guests happy, so hopeful but not necessarily optimistic.
