While we wait for Governor Ron DeSantis to release his re-opening Florida outline (which he is expected to announce today) Disney World has started sending out another round of emails to more guests (last week, the company sent out emails for those with reservations through May 16th), informing them the parks will be closed until further notice.
These notifications are being sent out to guests who had bookings during the week of May 17th through 23rd, 2020.
The emails state that the guests’ Disney World trips will be impacted by the parks’ temporary closure and instructs them to “modify or cancel their Disney Resort hotel reservations or Walt Disney Travel Company packages.” If guests didn’t book their trip directly with Disney, they should contact the travel agency they used.
Note: you will be able to apply the full value of your booking towards future visits without penalties or fees.

I have a vacation booked starting May 18 and called DVC and they said they were only cancelling through May 7. Strange…

I have reservations in Hilton Head July 13-15 and in Sept 13-15. What are the chances of HH being open for those dates.

We have a trip scheduled for July 6-10th. With Disney trying to get people to re-book trips between June and September, I’m very concerned…if parks open at partial capacity, are we all going to have to be lined up at the gate at 3am to get into the parks? If everyone is rescheduling their trips between June and September, it seems like those months could be an absolute nightmare, and if parks truly are only operating at 50% or 75% capacity during that time, there could potentially be thousands of people who are shut out of the parks every day. I don’t know what to do about our trip! 🙁 🙁 🙁

I will be at the Riviera on June 6th, hopefully! I need a vacation, I don’t care if they quarantine us in the Riviera!

We rebooked from April(cancelled by Disney) to July. Free dining does not always apply. We booked under FL for us and family from MI. We were told we don’t qualify.

Our May 16 – 23 reservation was cancelled yesterday. Disney emailed me early in the day as they began cancelling our ADRs. Even though we expected it the reality of seeing it in writing made for such a sad day for our family.
