In need of a Cinderella Castle pic fix?!
Well, while President of Disney World Josh D’Amaro sent a very special message to the Class of 2020 yesterday, recently he posted some amazing images of Cinderella Castle on his Insta!
Here’s a picture of what Cinderella Castle looked like many months before Magic Kingdom’s opening day in 1971! The old-time photograph was given to him by Disney World’s first Ambassador, Debby Dane Brown. You can see her in the lower right corner waiving next to Mickey Mouse!
And check out this neat little optical illusion Josh pulled off in this next pic! He’s held up the sepia-tone photograph against the modern-day Cinderella Castle, transposing the old with the new! We plan to try this little trick with some of our old family photos when the parks reopen. We got some big plans for our 80s pictures of Spaceship Earth!
Josh wishes us all well and says he will hold down the castle for us until it’s safe to return! Thanks for sharing this cool technique and we look forward to seeing what other cool stuff you’ll be posting for #ThrowbackThursday, Josh!
