Just a few days ago, some of our readers were reporting their multi-day Disney World tickets had magically been extended through September 26, 2021!
Although Disney World hadn’t released any information on the subject, we told you guys we’d wait for more information…and now we have it!
Disney previously stated that multi-day park tickets that were affected by the closure would be valid through September 30th, 2020. But now Disney has officially confirmed on their website that this no longer seems to be the case. Multi-day park tickets have officially been extended through September 26th, 2021! Here’s how Disney World’s ticket policy now reads:
If you are unable to use your ticket by September 26, 2021, you can apply the value of those tickets to the purchase of another ticket on a later date.

Let us know if you’re excited about getting your ticket dates extended!
VP says
Hi, has anyone’s AP been extended yet for number of days the parks have been closed , still waiting
Amy says
Does this include the Florida resident discovery tickets?
Whitney says
Wait, but what does that mean? I bought four park magic tickets for use this September, 2020. Will I be able to use my tickets through 2021, or this is only for people who had tickets for when the parks were closed?
DFB Sarah says
Whitney, the language from Disney says “partially used multi-day theme park tickets with a usage window impacted by the Park closure or date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020, with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020, or later will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26, 2021”. If your tickets fit that description, you should see the expiration date change in My Disney Experience, I believe.
DFB Sarah says
Amy, the info for Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets specifically says September 30, 2020.
DFB Sarah says
VP, I think we’re still waiting for this to happen. I’ll check with the team.
Katie Kiser says
I wanted to confirm. I have the 4 park magic tickets that I purchased for September 2020, and they now have a through date of September 26, 2021.
DFB Sarah says
Katie, that should be correct, yes.
Linda Kramer says
I called Disney they other day to inquire about Annual Passes and the date they are extended to. The cast member had no clue; she said they haven’t been told anything about annual passes. Have you heard anything on Annual Passes?
Debra Hatfield says
Are the multi day tickets also known as park hopper tickets?
Colleen says
We have season passes that we purchased on Jan 2020. Any word on how long those will be extended?
Alice says
Yes. This is correct. We had 7 day park hopper for September 20-28 which has now been extended until September 26, 2021. Nice!
Still can’t reserve dining past July.
Loretta says
Do you have any information about the Military Salute tickets? We bought ours at Shades of Green and have used 2 of our 12 tickets so we can not utilize their program to turn them in and put the money toward next year. We only live an hour away and can go for the day but we don’t Feel like we will use them in the next couple months and not sure when we will return due to restrictions etc. Heard anything about a possible extension- since they expire on Dec 18??
David Ryder says
Yes we may have our tickets extended, but is there any guarantee that we will be able to make reservations to enter the park ? No news on how we will be able to book. And after resort and annual passholders have booked will there be any capacity left ?
Roz says
I have an AP but my husband purchase his hopper pass through the military. Will his pass be honored also until Sept 2021 ?
DFB Sarah says
Roz, you may need to reach out to Disney about that.
DFB Sarah says
David, it’s true that Disney has not yet released details about the new reservation system. It sounds like ticket holders would have priority, however, so I would not expect it to be a lost cause. Still, we can’t say for certain until it actually goes live.
DFB Sarah says
Loretta, to my knowledge we have not heard anything specific about the Military Salute Tickets. I would recommend contacting Disney directly when you have the chance.
DFB Sarah says
Colleen, Annual Passes are being extended for the length of time the Parks were closed. You might reach out to VIPassholder services to see if they can give you specific information.
DFB Sarah says
Debra, not necessarily. Multi-day just means that folks bought tickets for more than one day. It could be one park per day or Park Hoppers.
DFB Sarah says
Linda, Disney has said they will be extended for the number of days that Parks are closed. Here’s the AP website for the reopening; maybe it’ll help.
sarah says
I have a holiday booked for November 2020 but want to move it to November 2021 so will i beable to move my park tickets to November2021 if not how do get new ones as disney isn’t selling them at present
DFB Sarah says
Sarah, I would think you could modify your entire package to 2021. If not, Disney says 2021 tickets are available to purchase. “You can purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages, purchase new theme park tickets and make park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as our phased reopening continues.”
Sarah says
You can not buy tickets for any date past 26th September 2021 ,just wondered why?
