All of us are in the same boat as we await more details regarding Disney World’s plan for its phased reopening.
When it comes to hotels, Disney has only released information for the select Disney World resort hotels that will begin reopening next week.
However, in a post on Unite Here Local 737’s Facebook page, (one of the largest unions of Disney World Cast Members), we now know Disney’s Pop Century Resort workers are being asked to return to their posts! This is very interesting as this is a hotel that has not been given a reopening date yet by Disney.
Although we don’t know when guests will be able to make reservations at Disney’s Pop Century Resort especially with the new reservation system and the fact that all new bookings are still temporarily on pause, Cast Members are set to return as early as June 28th.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort has begun calling back its Culinary & Stewarding, Everything Pop, Food Handlers, and Petals Pool Bar crews. Hopefully, we hear more information from Disney World about a possible reopening date for this hotel soon!

Just found out. Disney is not opening any All Star Resort. You will have a chance, if available, to book for the same dates at a more expensive resort, with Pop Century being the cheapest. And when I say just found out, I stumbled on the list of resorts and dates, as the only communication I’ve received from WDW was cancelling my dining. I think they’re relying on people getting frustrated and cancelling, instead of them cancelling your reservation. At best, Disney’s reputation is tarnished, but it’s looking more and more like catering to the 1%. Universal is giving 2 days park admission free on a minimum 4 day ticket.

Mark, Disney just dropped that info last night, so you caught it right as it emerged, I think!
