Splash Mountain has been one of the most eventful spots in Disney World since Magic Kingdom re-opened.
We’ve seen long wait times at the ride (especially with merchandise), the news that Splash Mountain would become a The Princess and the Frog bayou ride, and even a log boat sinking just his week. BUT, people have still be super excited to head back on the ride during their “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Day” back in Disney World.
While the Splash Mountain Plushes and Wishables have been CRAZY popular recently, the new pins are just as cute for guests who just LOVE to pin collect. (We definitely want to wear them on our Pin Trading Minnie Ears!)
No matter how many times you’ve taken a trip to the Briar Patch, it feels like an accomplishment every time you escape Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear’s trap to splash down into a swingin’ party at the end of the ride! And, we think the “I Conquered Splash Mountain” Pin is the sweetest way to show off your love for the attraction…
…along with the Br’er Rabbit Pin, who looks peachy keen and content to be relaxing with his best pals (same, friend)!
While we continue to keep an eye out for more Splash Mountain merchandise that keeps selling out quickly, we’ll make sure to give you a look at everything we find!
These are the six things that most first time visitors don’t know about going to Disney World!
How do you feel about Splash Mountain’s redesign? Let us know in the comments below!

WHERE was these pins found?

Though we LOVE Tiana. We feel she deserves her own ride built up from the ground and located in New Orleans Square because, well… obvious reasons! Why would it make sense in critter country anyways? She’s not a critter. Would love to see one of the restaurants in New Orleans Square called, ‘Tiana’s Place’ as well. Splash Mountain is arguably the most iconic ride in the park with so many childhood memories tied to it. There’s a special feeling you get when you hear that music & smell that water. It’s magic. Brings me back to the 90’s when I first went! We just took my daughter (5) last summer and it was hands down the most talked about ride – we still talk about it All. The. Time. Heartbroken to see it go & holding on to every ounce of hope that it may have a chance to stay.

I am not a fan of the change Splash Mountain ride, and especially converting it to theme one of Disney’s least popular least favored movies. Whoever came up with this one was not thinking straight. Bad move Disney!!!!!! Forever a Splash Moutain Fan.

Unfortunately, Disney is becoming more PC than interested in holding on to memories that made Disney what it is today. So sad. DFB, wish you could provide an email where people could write to Disney to make suggestions or complain about their misguided changes.

Splash Mountain is an integral part of Magic Kingdom. It is heartbreaking that it is being changed. There are so many memories, everything from the ride itself, the music, the hidden Mickey’s, especially the hidden Mickey right before the big splash. Our children grew up quickly walking to Splash Mountain at rope drop.
I have nothing against The Princess and the Frog, but WHY Splash Mountain?
Couldn’t they put the ride on Tom Sawyer Island?

Saddened to hear of changing the theme of Splash Mountain
This was our favorite ride in Magic Kingdom 😥😢

They should not be retheming splash mountain! This is an iconic ride and loved by all. Why would you come up w a new theme for the most popular ride in the park? It had the longest wait times and is on the top
Of the popularity list. Keep splash mountain the way it is. You have room to build Tiana a great new ride somewhere in the park that makes more sense than Frontierland.

Pris, Disney World has a contact form here. I don’t know how responsive they are.

I asked for Splash pins at Splashdown Photos (the gift shop) on Monday, August 10, and I was told that they were sold out. What day did you see these?
DFB Sarah says
Sue, we saw this on the ninth.

I am at Disney now and my sister wanted me to try and get a splash mountain pin, but as I suspected they don’t have them anymore. Came across this page hoping to get some inside info but seems we are several months too late. Oh well. I think it’s a great idea for them to change the ride. Disney people especially don’t like change and I have definitely not agreed with some changes that happen but this one is going to be great, it’s a very natural continuation for this ride for many reasons. I never understood why they used this film for one if their biggest rides anyway since it’s not available to watch. For those complaint about it being PC, get a grip on reality. For those that say it’s not a popular movie, it actually is and more people have seen it than Song of the South, that’s for sure. And Disney world doesn’t have A New Orleans square, it’s called Liberty square so it’s very different than Disneyland. It’s a great move on Disney’s part and we can all do a little better with opening our minds and hearts to positive change. Peace, Love and Mickey Mouse ❤️
