As of August 24th, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort has officially reopened to guests!
Oh, how we’ve missed the atmosphere of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort! Now that the hotel has welcomed back guests, we wanted to see how things are running. So we stopped by to take a look at Disney’s most recently reopened hotel!
Now that Disney’s Yacht Club Resort has reopened, they rolled out the red carpet to welcome guests — literally!
There was plenty of space in the lobby to keep distance between parties. We love seeing that beautiful globe once again!
There is still seating available for guests in the lobby, and there are signs on the tables reminding guests of the social distancing guidelines.
Yacht Club guests have access to a variety of recreational offerings, including the recently reopened Stormalong Bay pool, leisure pool, poolside activities, and movies under the stars!
Ale & Compass Restaurant has also reopened for guests interested table service dining.
The Ale & Compass Lounge has reopened as well. Here, guests will find a selection of appetizers and a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks!
And finally, the grab-and-go location The Market at Ale & Compass is another dining option available for guests!
Here, guests are able to place a mobile order, and there are social distancing markers and arrows to help paries maintain their distance while inside.
Some dining locations at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are still closed at the moment. Yachtsman Steakhouse has not yet reopened…
…and the restaurant’s lounge, Crew’s Cup Lounge, is also still closed.
And, of course, we had to take a peek at the recently reopened Stormalong Bay pool! This pool is shared by Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and it’s one of the best parts of these hotels! It features a sand-bottomed pool, a lazy river, a 230-foot-long waterslide, and even three whirlpool spas!
The quick service location at Stormalong Bay, Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, is open for guests in search of a poolside snack.
The chairs in the pool area are grouped together to allow guests to leave space between themselves and other parties.
There’s some pretty impressive theming around the pool area — including this “shipwreck”!
While walking towards the Friendship Boat deck, we stopped by an empty beach area to admire the peace and quiet!
The Friendship Boats are not currently running, so guests will need to use alternate transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios for now!
Things were pretty quiet at Yacht Club during our visit today! As of right now, the next Disney World hotel scheduled to reopen is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on September 21st, but we’ll keep an eye out for any additional hotel updates in the meantime!

Because you need to leave the pool area to get to the Shipwreck Slide. Can I assume you do not need to wear a face covering to walk over? Can you confirm that.
Thank you,

Anthony, I’ll see if our team noticed or can find out.
