Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has quickly become a fan-favorite in Walt Disney World.

It has also become one of the more difficult attractions to get onto. If you’re lucky enough to get on the ride in Disney’s Hollywood Studios sometime soon, be on the lookout for an extra special surprise.Â
We’ve stared in awe at the ridiculously impressive group of stormtroopers in the Star Destroyer’s Hangar Bay in one part of Rise of the Resistance, but today we got an a bonus stormtrooper encounter.

Close the blast doors! We actually found ourselves face to face with some LIVE stormtroopers walking near a ride vehicle today.

We were just thankful that they didn’t ask to see our identification.

Then again, stormtroopers don’t tend to have the best aim sometimes. But still, we wouldn’t want to take our chances. We had to make sure we could help our friends in the Resistance!

We thought it was nearly impossible for this attraction to get any more immersive than it already was, but we were wrong. Having the live stormtroopers there added another layer to the story and definitely made us feel like we were living out a true Star Wars adventure. We aren’t sure if they’ll be there more often in the future, but we’ll definitely keep an eye out for them the next time we get the chance to ride.
