If you’ve been checking in on our Instagram stories lately, you may notice that we’ve thrown in a few trivia questions to test your Disney World knowledge!
Some of these questions may be easier than others, and we’ll admit we’ve thrown one or two difficult questions in there to see who knows their Disney facts. A recent question REALLY stumped people, as a whopping 88% of those polled got the answer WRONG!
We asked our readers which of the four Disney World theme parks is the smallest. The options were, of course, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
And the correct answer…is Magic Kingdom!
We know, it doesn’t make sense, but it’s true! Magic Kingdom is indeed the SMALLEST of the four Disney World theme parks. And only 12% of those polled guessed correctly!
Disney has confirmed that at 107 acres, Magic Kingdom is in fact smaller than the other parks. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the second smallest park at 135 acres.
If we’re including backstage areas, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is BY FAR the largest of the four parks, reaching a whopping 580 acres according to Orange County Register. A good chunk of land is dedicated to the animals. The Wildlife Reserve that guests see on Kilimanjaro Safari is 110 acres just by itself!
This is not to say that there’s less things to do in Magic Kingdom! There is certainly NO shortage of rides and attractions, dining, shopping, and gazing at all the spectacular sights! It’s pretty impressive how much Disney World is able to cram into their smallest theme park!
This “tiny” park still has a pretty BIG layout, though! Did you know that there used to be an entire AIRSTRIP right across from the Magic Kingdom? In fact, the park is so spread out that guests can rack up THOUSANDS of steps in the Magic Kingdom in just one day! You probably won’t have to worry about meeting your step goal while in Disney World, that’s for sure. While Magic Kingdom may be the smallest, it’s not “small” by any means!
Needless to say, Magic Kingdom may be “small,” but our tired feet after a long day would say otherwise! Be sure to follow along on Instagram for more fun trivia!

Are you still doing the Halloween festivities
MrToadsWildRide says
How many acres is EPCOT?
DFB Sarah says
MrToadsWildRide, online sources say 300 acres.
DFB Sarah says
Leslie, Disney has cancelled Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, but they did decorate for fall, and there are some Halloween-related treats and merchandise.
Tonia says
That makes sense to me because it does feel small and cramped. I like the feel of Animal Kingdom.
Carolyn says
Magic Kingdom sure feels small with this pandemic going on. Disney is impressive how they try to maintain safe distance but way too many people allowed to be able keep safe distance apart. Animal Kingdom is the place to go during pandemic
Gary says
Sarah and AJ my wife is probably the number one trivia Walt Disney World Walt Disney the man champion there is . she nailed it on the first try sorryDon’t you have anything harder she didn’t hesitate Magic kingdom pop right out of her mouth
Barbara sather says
I would have guessed that there were no USA flags flying at Disney world .
Jim S. says
Barbara, I believe only the main flag is the current one. Others have fewer stars, so they can fly 24/7. If u get a chance, you should watch Disney security perform the flag lowering ceremony. It is quite moving.
Leona Mary Schultz says
Purchased the 2022 guide when will it be available and is it a hard copy or do we have to print it? Will I have it by our vacation in february?
DFB Sarah says
Leona, the 2022 DFB Guide to Dining at Disney World is typically sent to purchasers in early January. It is an ebook, so there will be no hard copy.
Anthony says
For perspective when it comes to size of the parks. You can take MK, Epcot & DHS and drop them into the Animal Kingdom park, with room to spare. I love AK.
