It’s time to EAT! Another Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Booth is open, and we’re eating all the food on the menu!
One of our favorite booths from past Food & Wine Festivals has opened in Disney World so you know we made our way over to get a taste of alllll the yummy eats. Let’s give a big welcome to the Flavors from Fire booth — DFB style!
The booth was hosted by College Gameday last year, but this year its host is The NFL on ESPN! You might notice a certain sports flare to all of the food and beverage names!
Menu
Let’s check out the tasty items we’ll be snacking on at Flavors from Fire this year!
Hmm…we’re intrigued — especially by that NEW S’mores Whoopie Pie-lon. We’ll have to see if it’s as good as it sounds.
Food
Without further ado, let’s dive into those eats! We picked up one of each food item to get an idea of ALL the flavors at this booth.
First up, there’s The Corned Beef Corner Route (LOL) for $5.25. This dish will have you munching on smoked corned beef with crispy potatoes, cheese curds, pickled onions, and beer cheese fondue. Well, we only have one question for you. Have you ever heard us say no to beer cheese?
The crispy potatoes and salty kettle chips made the perfect base for this dish. As always, that beer cheese was absolute heaven and this thing is LOADED with corned beef. Our only complaint? We could’ve gone for more cheese curds! This dish was so yummy, we recommend NOT sharing (but you can if you want).
Next, there’s The Chimichurri-up Offense for $7. This dish is made with charred Chimichurri skirt steak on a smoked corn cake with pickled vegetable slaw and cilantro aioli. This one was as tasty as we remembered! There’s lots of smoky flavor in the corn cake and it’s actually really filling. Altogether, we’d call this an amazing bite!
And now for the dessert you’ve all been waiting for — it’s the The S’mores Whoopie Pie-lon! You can snag this treat for $4 and expect to bite into smoked chocolate cake, graham cracker, marshmallow, chocolate ganache, and candied bacon. 🤤
This little pie is SUPER rich. There’s a lot going on but every bite is just about perfect. Don’t expect to find any crunch from the graham cracker, but the soft sweetness still comes together well. The real star is definitely the bacon; those few bacon-y bites were easily our favorites!
Plus, there’s that GENEROUS helping of marshmallow. There’s so much, we’d say it almost comes off like a light icing.
Beverages
Now, on to the drinks! At this booth, you’re able to try the Bell’s Seasonal Beer in a 6oz ($4.50) or a 12oz ($8.50), the Edmeades Zinfandel for $5, or the Swine Brine for $9.50. Yes, you heard us, Swine Brine.
This cocktail is Jim Beam Bourbon, mustard, and apple cider topped with a little piece of meat. Honestly, we were skeptical at first glance but it won us over in just one sip! This beverage is very cool and fresh. It’s a surprising option when it comes to festival drinks, for sure!
Wow! This returning booth did not disappoint! Don’t forget, you can check out ALL of the Food & Wine fest booths right here on DFB!
