It can be hard to remember sometimes, but Walt Disney World is gearing up to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year!
To prepare for that, the entrance sign to the Magic Kingdom is getting a makeover!
We’ve previously seen some construction on the Magic Kingdom entrance, with construction cones on the left side lanes.
And today, we spotted exactly WHAT the new entry sign will look like. And she’s going to be navy and gold!
Let’s zoom in, shall we? You can see that the paint job is no longer light blue and white, it’s navy and gold. The flag has also been swapped for a gold flag.
That “W” is already done, and the “E” is coming close! Looks like they’re speeding along on this construction work, and we can’t WAIT to see what it’ll look like when it’s done!

Sometimes, change for the sake of change is not a good thing. The main gate entrance. As been upgraded are improved in the past, but is it really necessary at this time. Could not the resources be better allocated to improving guest services that need improvement and that will bring guests to return. A change in color at the entrance serves no real benefit, and keeping the traditional look does boast a level of familiarity and relieve to guests who are returning to an old friend. I am a traditionalist and conservative, and change is not always warranted

The new colors do not make me feel excited at all, like the more colorful sign did!
I’m very disappointed and sad. My family and I looked very forward to seeing that happy, welcoming sign.
We are so disappointed, again!
Disney is suppose to be a happy place!
