One major Disney project that we’ve got our eye on is the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.

We keep our eye out for Disney permits to make sure that we don’t miss any exciting developments on projects like Galactic Starcruiser. We know that work continues to be underway thanks to recent patents and overhead photos, but now it looks like some set elements and theming are being incorporated at the site!
The new permit, filed by Walt Disney Imagineering, calls for “Set items” at an address that has been previously associated with Project H. Project H, in the past, has been used as the project name for Galactic Starcruiser considering the ship is called the “Halcyon.”

Perhaps Disney is getting ready to add in some of the futuristic details or interactive elements to the hotel. Theming at the resort is, not surprisingly, quite extensive, if the concept art is any indicator. Set items can mean a number of things, but seems to point towards the hotel preparing to enter the decor/finishing stages of the construction process.

Whatever the work is, it certainly is exciting to learn that Galactic Starcruiser is getting more of its theming elements! The hotel is set to open sometime in 2021 and we can’t WAIT to see the final product. As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates on Disney construction!
