There are several construction projects going on around Disney World that we’ve been keeping an eye on.
Over at Magic Kingdom, we’ve got the TRON construction in progress. Plus, there’s some construction going on at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, as well as the Star Wars hotel elsewhere on property. Recently, we added another project to our watch list — the Magic Kingdom entry sign paint job.
You know the sign we’re talking about — the classic entrance you drive under as you head to the most magical place on earth! Here’s what the sign looked like earlier this year, after the parks reopened.
The sign has been undergoing some construction lately and getting a brand new paint job. This is what the sign looked like just a few days ago.
But, as we drove under it today, we noticed some updates. It looks like the blue lettering is back and is that some rose gold we see? It looks like the Magic Kingdom sign has finally decided to jump on the rose gold bandwagon.
Here’s a closer look at the rose gold details.
You can see the difference between the newly painted areas and the remainder of the sign
We’re excited to see this sign once the paint job is all finished up. We’ll have our rose gold Minnie ears ready so we can match the newly painted sign. Be sure to check back with us for all the latest updates!

I love it I think it stands out against the Florida blue sky and clouds. It’s going to be beautiful!!!

The Magic Kingdom rose gold and blue paintjob looks very eye-catching and perfect against the blue skies (mostly!) and sun of Florida. It matches Cinderella’s Castle too. I certainly wouldn’t criticise what’s going on at the moment under extreme pressure and difficulties. There are many projects going ahead and I think it’s great that Disney is so positively looking forward to the 50th anniversary. Roll on the changes and the many additions. If only the Mary Poppins attraction could be included amongst them.
