Kringla Bakeri og Kafe has been baking up treats in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion for quite some time.
The bakery reopened back in September, serving some Norwegian favorites such as the Troll Horn and School Bread. However, they were missing a pretty iconic treat…Rice Cream!
Recently, we spotted the Rice Cream BACK in the bakery cases! Oh, how we missed you!
This treat is made of a vanilla rice pudding base and a strawberry glaze on top. Simple yet delicious! The strawberries perfectly compliment the rice pudding and make this a refreshingly light snack. If you are not used to the texture of rice pudding, you may not like this! It is not as smooth or creamy as plain pudding because of the rice.
We thought this treat was lacking a little bit today because it is usually filled to the top of the cup. It was still satisfying, we are just used to them completely filled! Anyone looking for a slightly sweet treat and doesn’t mind the rice texture will enjoy this.
You can find this in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion for $3.79. We are hoping this treat is back and here to stay! We will continue to keep you updated on the latest Disney snack news.

The veiled maiden desserts were so much better that they had for years with the rice cream, apples, and cinnamon. Then they took them away because they got too cheap to make them anymore. It was an Epcot staple for a long time, but everything they could do to ruin Norway they have done so why should I be surprised, its still missed though.

I believe they have ruined the rice cream. Instead of the subtle and authentic almond flavor the new version had a strong cinnamon flavor that overpowered the traditional flavor. Very disappointing.

When did they change the rice cream to add cinnamon flavor?? It’s horrible now. I’ve enjoyed this treat for so many years with the delicate vanilla flavor to the rice pudding – now it just tastes like a strong cinnamon flavor. Why, oh why would they change something that was already perfect?
