Welcome to 2020, where even the bakery cases at Disney World can’t decide what holiday it is! As you can see, we’ve got Halloween, fall, and Christmas all in one (and as long as the delicious sweet treats keep coming, we can’t say we’re mad about it).
Thanksgiving may not be here yet, but we’re already taste testing Christmas cookies to find the perfect ones for you (and for Santa, of course)! Today, we got to try a Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Cookie and it’s totally got us in the holiday spirit!
Actually, we got a full tray of holiday treats from Bayview Gifts at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, including some Eggnog Fudge(!), but for this review we’ll be focusing on that cute gingerbread cookie in front!
Check out the adorable Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Cookie! It’s a gingerbread cookie (obviously) covered in some red, white, and green frosting details to create the perfect holiday look.
There’s no denying that this snack is cute, but it was tasty as well! We felt it had a nice amount of the gingerbread flavor and a good, chewy and soft texture. It also doesn’t hurt that you can also find a quiet spot outside (in a nice, socially distanced location) to enjoy the cookie with an awesome view of Magic Kingdom.
Our only issue with this cookie is that it was, at least for us, a little dry. Overall though, it was a yummy treat. You can grab it in Disney World right now for $3.99.
We’ll keep looking for more fall and holiday snacks, and we’ll definitely let you know what we find! Come back for ALL the holiday updates!

I have a question that is going to seem strange. Do you know what the “frosting” is made out of on these cookies? I know the full body Mickey gingerbread cookies are dipped in milk chocolate, but not sure what these are dipped in. I ask because one of my dogs ate the whole red top of one of these today. I attempted to call Disneyland (where this one was purchased) and they said to chat with them via the app, so I asked on the app and they responded that they don’t have that information and to check the packaging ingredients. As you know these are in a case so no ingredient list to go off of. Anyways dogs all seem ok and I called the vet to be sure, but I wanted to be EXTRA sure on the ingredients.

Maddie, I’m sorry — I don’t know for sure. It looks to me like it might be royal icing (it’s hardened when dry, which I believe is a characteristic of royal icing). I’m glad your dogs are doing okay with it!
Corinne says
They typically use colored white chocolate on most of their large “designed” Mickey cookies.
