We have been keeping a close eye on all of the construction projects going on around Disney World, especially Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which will be opening in the future in EPCOT.

Today is a VERY special day though! Pull out those walkmans and get your mix tapes ready — we’ve got a SNEAK PEEK at the attraction vehicles for this epic rollercoaster!
We saw some initial images of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vehicles back in 2019…

…and there was even a Cosmic Rewind photo op at EPCOT with some cut outs that looked like the vehicle, but we really hadn’t seen any update on these for a while.

Earlier today, however, Imagineer Zach Riddley posted a photo on his Instagram (@thezachriddley) giving us all a HUGE sneak peek at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vehicles! Riddley’s post explains that the individuals in the vehicles are two of the ride engineers working on the preparation of the vehicles at a warehouse in Florida.

Riddley’s post also says: “If you look closely at the colorful paint design on the vehicles (called coaches in roller coaster engineering parlance), each one is unique with different wear patterns and impact marks. Imagineers were inspired by markings that appear on NASA Space Shuttles and other spacecraft upon reentry into Earth’s atmosphere.”
Riddley also notes that they “can’t wait to share more on this truly out-of-this-world, awesome attraction as we make progress on construction and put these coaches on the track!” WE CAN’T WAIT EITHER!

We are so excited to ride this attraction when it opens in the future! We’ll definitely keep passing by the future home of Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT to see if we can spot any changes or construction updates, and we’ll keep an eye out for more photos from Riddley and Disney Imagineering.
