Disney has consistently been churning out news and updates to their procedures since reopening in July.
Lots of the news has been focused on the reopening of the parks, but there have also been many guidelines that affect Disney Cruise Line. Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, recently shared some news about the future of Disney cruises!
Disney recently suspended all sailings through the remainder of the year.
Due to strict CDC guidelines, Chapek states that future sailing departures are more delayed than what they had hoped. However, they do remain positive and believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, as demands for cruising are still strong. Chapek was confident that when the cruise line reopens, they can do so safely.
Even with the delays and postponed sailings, Disney Cruise Line is still pressing forward. The Disney Wish will be coming in the summer of 2022! The newest ship was met with heavy delays due to the pandemic.
There are also TWO additional new ships that are coming in 2024 and 2025, both of which have been delayed by six months. Disney hopes much of this will have resolved that far down the road by the time these ships debut.
While this year has been difficult for the Disney Cruise Line, we are really looking forward to seeing what the future holds for these new ships! Check back with us for updates on guidelines and news!

I can’t wait to cruise with Disney again. My wife and I have 8 under our belt already. We also cruised with Carnival and Norwegian one each, they are not even close to DCL.
