UPDATE! EPCOT’s Nighttime Spectacular Harmonious Continues to Make Progress!

We have to say it: We miss Disney fireworks more than anything right now. Although nighttime spectaculars are on pause right now, EPCOT has still been moving forward with the construction on Harmonious!

Although the show was originally supposed to open in spring of this year, progress was delayed when the parks first closed. Now, EPCOT has put barges in place as permits state that more materials are being gathered and fireworks will be tested throughout the end of 2021.

Thanks to @bioreconstruct, we’ve also been able to get a look at the giant center screen that could include water projection elements similar to the World of Color in Disneyland. On either side of the center barge, there are rotating arms that will lend to the special effects of the nighttime spectacular…

…as the side barges appear to have rotating arms and video screen capability as well. When Harmonious finally debuts, it will be one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for a Disney Park.

The show will feature fireworks, lasers, dancing, fountains, and massive floating set pieces as “reinterpreted” Disney music connects the fans that are watching. As we continue to look at the progress on Harmonious, we’ll keep you updated on all of EPCOT’s upcoming projects!
