Themed Entertainment Association, or “TEA”, recognizes theme parks, exhibitions, and themed experiences around the world each year with their annual Thea Awards. These awards represent “excellence, innovation and leadership in the creation of compelling places and experiences.”
Disney is often recognized by TEA, and this year was no exception! Two of their newest attractions received Thea Awards, and we’ll be totally honest, we aren’t surprised!
The “Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement” went to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as Rise of the Resistance at both Disney World and Disneyland!
The Buzz Price Thea Award, which recognizes a Lifetime of Distinguished Achievements, went to Walt Disney Imagineering President Bob Weis. In addition, Universal Orlando Resort was recognized at this year’s awards for their new show “The Bourne Stuntacular.”
