Things are constantly changing at Walt Disney World!
Just today, Disney announced that Park Hopping will be coming back in 2021, and that 3 restaurants in Disney World will be reopening very soon! We’ve also seen construction updates throughout the parks and so much more. Today, as we walked around Magic Kingdom, we noticed that one attraction’s signature icon in front was looking very different.
Trying to find the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Magic Kingdom? Well, be on the lookout for this sail on a mast in front of the ride and you won’t miss it! Here’s a photo of what it looked like earlier this year, but it was looking pretty different today.
Instead of the typical weathered down flag with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” logo on it, we found this much newer looking, solid black sail!
When we spoke to a nearby Cast Member about it, they noted that this sail was put up very recently and is just a placeholder. They also told us that a new sail for this spot will be coming soon. We’re looking forward to seeing it once it’s up!
We’ll keep an eye on this area and let you know if we see any important updates. Stay tuned for all the latest.

Why… what is up with that. Disney never seems to do something for no reason. I wonder if they are changing the name of the attraction. The old tattered and torn sign seemed very appropriate and themed properly, so why the blank slate…. hmmmm
