Disney World’s resorts have been prepped and are ready for the holidays!
We hopped on Disney World’s monorail (and even took a walk) to check out what’s new at the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian Village Resort, and the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!
What’s New at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Contemporary Resort Merchandise Updates
We found some new hand sanitizers at both Buena Vista Gifts and Fantasia Market for $9.99 each. These designs feature Minnie Mouse, It’s a Small World, and the Little Mermaid!
There’s even a design that looks pretty similar to a Mickey Balloon!
This bright teal color is really eye-catching!
These are some fun, new designs if you need to spruce up your boring hand sanitizer bottle!
Fantasia Market was also offering some cool pins! This pin featuring Dante from Coco was spotted on display.
They’re also offering the Contemporary’s 2020 Limited Edition Monorail Resort Pin!
The pin opens up to a scene with some characters from Cinderella with the Contemporary’s iconic gingerbread castle in the background! While the castle may not be out this year, we can reminisce with this pin.
This Cinderella Pin comes in its own charming packaging! It says “Birds help me get dressed in the morning.”
We wish birds helped us get dressed in the morning, too! This pin is $15.99.
Check out more limited-edition pins here!
What’s New at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Grand Floridian Resort Food Updates
It’s not news that Disney has been giving us plenty of options for holiday treats, and that includes the resorts! Gasparilla Island Grill is serving up some really cute and tasty snacks that are perfect for the holidays!
We tried these adorable and yummy Mickey Gingerbread Cookies!
Not only does this cookie look good, but it tastes good, too! And of course, how could we say no to anything Mickey-shaped?
Check out our gingerbread cookie review here!
Grand Floridian Resort Merchandise Updates
We also spotted some hours posted outside one of the resort’s shopping locations, Curiouser Clothiers.
The hours currently posted are 12PM-8PM and Disney’s website reflects these hours for the upcoming weeks, as well.
This shop offers Disney-inspired designer clothes for some more upscale shopping!

Grand Floridian Resort Construction Updates
The new walkway connecting the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom is finally open!
After months of construction, we’re so excited to finally be able to use this convenient path! This walk is about fifteen to twenty minutes long.
This walkway gives guests an additional option to get to the Magic Kingdom besides the monorail.
See photos and videos of the new walkway HERE!
Grand Floridian Resort Holiday Updates
The Grand Floridian has gotten its holiday makeover and this gigantic tree in the lobby adds to its charm and beauty!
We just needed to take a minute to appreciate it.
See all the Grand Floridian holiday decorations here!
What’s New at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Polynesian Village Resort Holiday Updates
We may not be able to celebrate a white Christmas at the Polynesian Resort, but a tropical Christmas is just as fun! This resort has gotten its holiday makeover with trees, wreaths, and garland!
The Christmas tree is filled with tropical touches, like these bright flowers and a PINEAPPLE!
These ornaments really tie in with the theme of the resort.
This snowflake ornament is accented with little seashells on the edges!
All the decorations come together to put guests in the holiday spirit!

We also found some fun holiday pins at Boutiki!
This ornament-themed pin opens up to show Moana and Hei-Hei!
They also had the holiday pin for Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!
This pin opens up to show a cute Christmas scene with an adorable bear.
These pins are limited edition so grab them fast!

Candice says
We were disappointed to find we could not make a reservation at Yak N Yeti in Animal Kingdom in December. Can only assume this restaurant is closed. Animal Kingdom closes every day at 5, so is that why or just the fact there is limited capacity in the park?
My husband uses his Landry’s birthday bonus every year close to Christmas and since we have the Silver Pass now, the black out date begins December 18th, so we were going to get a Park reservation and a restaurant reservation for prior to that. Very disappointed.

Candice, Yak & Yeti is open. You can view Disney’s official page here. You may want to keep trying for an ADR; possibly one will open up before your trip.
