All year long, it’s been an ever-unfolding saga of news, reports, statistics, mandates, and lockdowns due to COVID-19. Finding it hard to keep up? You’re not alone!
Now with the holidays upon us, and as people tend to gather indoors in greater numbers due to chillier weather and festive traditions, the Centers for Disease Control is adding to its mask-wearing recommendations.
For the first time, the CDC is saying to wear masks anywhere indoors that isn’t your own home.
While they’ve been adamant about mask recommendations in order to mitigate the virus’ spread, this is the first time they’ve mentioned wearing a mask everywhere indoors. Considering the rising infection numbers across the U.S., the CDC is constantly updated the guidelines as they learn more about the virus.
The latest CDC report says, “Consistent and correct use of face masks is a public health strategy critical to reducing respiratory transmission, in light of estimates that approximately one half of new infections are transmitted by persons who have no symptoms.”
The report goes on to add that face masks are also crucial outdoors when six feet of space isn’t possible, and even in your own homes when family members might be infected or have had recent exposure to COVID-19. The CDC recently updated its guidelines to say that masks protect the wearer too!
While Disneyland remains closed due to tight restrictions in California, Disney World is strict with its rigorous mandates and safety procedures, including face mask requirements.
As always, we’ll keep you posted with any new CDC reports.

I have a strong feeling Disney and Universal will close down again. California is on the fringe of another state closure, and it’s not looking too good for some of the other states.

If mask requirements will keep the parks open I’m all for it

Disney: Hey let’s find another way to get further behind financially!
The World: We won’t be back.

We are already wearing masks when we are going into indoor public places. When outside running or walking we dont wear them because we can keep 6 ft. away.
Disney is doing everything possible to keep people safe. We visited in September and will be visiting again in January.

This is simply your interpretation. The CDC does not state that we need to wear them indoors nor does it even suggest that we wear them indoors. It says that when you do wear them you should wear them correctly. Come on we’ve got way too much fear mongering going on in this country

I have very strong opinions about the mask. I don’t like them, but I wore them while down at Disney bc it is their policy. But what gross me out is there was times cough or sneeze and now I’m wearing this gross mask with poor ventilation around my airway.
Even felt sicker after leaving Disney. We don’t have mask mandates were I live, and I good until coming back after prolong mask wearing.
Now my father-in-law who works at a local hospital who wears a mask every where just tested positive. Hard for me to believe that the mask are helping since people are wearing mask very wrong. I’m also a medical professional, so I understand how mask work.
The one thing the mask took away From me for sure is not seeing my wife’s smile while at Disney. That was hard, but we still had fun.
