Hello, friends! Today we’re dropping by Disney’s Magic Kingdom to see what’s going on!
We’ve been spending a LOT of time in the parks and resorts lately! With so many people traveling for the holidays and Disney gearing up for the New Year, there’s tons of news to report and lots to see. Let’s dive right in!
Magic Kingdom Food Update
Main Street Confectionery
In an effort to keep lines shorter, it seems as the Main Street Confectionery is now selling the candy case items at all the registers, instead of just the register next to the case. We noticed these displays by the other registers in the store.
We’ve seen lines for this store drag out into the street, especially at the end of the night, so we’re glad that Disney’s putting in some good solutions for these problems.
We’re certainly excited to get our sweets a little quicker, so no complaints here!

Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Tom Sawyer Island
Looking across the (empty) Rivers of America from Liberty Square, we spotted some construction going on over at Tom Sawyer Island.
Harper’s Mill is completely covered in scaffolding, so we’ll be keeping an eye out to see if there are any changes or updates in this area.

“it’s a small world”
Over at “it’s a small world,” we noticed that part of the scrim had been removed. The entrance to the attraction is now open!
We’re absolutely loving this new look! The bright colors really fit in with the Fantasyland theme, and the paint touch-ups make everything look a lot less faded.Â
We did notice one thing out of place though, there was a “Wet Paint!” sign taped to one of the pillars!
If the entrance area looks this good, then we’re definitely excited to see the new look once the scrims come down all the way!

Magic Kingdom Attractions Update
Peter Pan’s Flight
We noted the other day that we waited in line for Peter Pan’s Flight INSIDE of Columbia Harbour House, and it seems that that is still the case at Magic Kingdom!
Since the restaurant is currently closed, feeding the queue through that building is a way to make use of the minimal space in this area.

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
The Emporium
First up on our list of Magic Kingdom merchandise stops is the Disney classic gift shop — the Emporium! Here, we spotted some new bracelets from Alex and Ani. The first one features Disney cats!
If you prefer your pets with a little more “bark,” then you can also buy the Disney dogs version!
You can snag either of these bracelets for $49.99, they would make great Christmas gifts for your pet-obsessed pals!

We also spotted two new tumblers in the store. We really love this “Best Day Ever” design — it’s exactly how we feel when we visit Disney World!
The iridescent colors on this thing are hard to look away from, they’re just so beautiful! You can snatch one up for $19.99.Â
If you’d like a more tropical design, then check out this next one! This cup features a peach lid and a floral print of hidden Mickeys.
Even though it’s December, this tumbler is definitely giving us the Summertime feels. We didn’t think we’d ever miss the Florida heat!
This design is also available for $19.99 at the Emporium.Â

Uptown Jewelers
Across the street in Uptown Jewelers, we spotted this adorable paw print necklace that we hadn’t noticed before!
It’s got a very sparkly paw print shape with a hidden Mickey stamped out in the middle!
We could see this being pretty popular with those who love animals and Disney but want a subtle hint of both.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
There’s a new way to pick up your personalized ornaments and souvenirs in Liberty Square! At Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, we spotted this table set up outside the store.
In order to keep crowds down inside the store and the line shorter, guests can now pick up their personalization orders outside at this table!
With Christmas just around the corner, we imagine this service is pretty popular right now, so it’s a great time for them to add this change!

Main Street Confectionery
Last, but not least, we head back into the Main Street Confectionery for a fun SALE!
If you’re a tea drinker, shops around Magic Kingdom currently have Wonderland Tea on sale for buy one, get one free — that’s a great deal!
They’ve got some fun and interesting flavors in this bundle, so it could be a good choice for a snack to bring home with you!
