Next week is the first FULL WEEK of 2021, and some folks are spending it in Disney World.
If you’re spending some time in Disney World next week, you’ve probably got packing on the brain. We’re here to help! We’re taking you through a weather update so that you know EXACTLY what to toss in that bag.
Weather Forecast
This week is going to start on the chillier side and then end up with some SHOCKINGLY consistent temps for the remainder of the week. The last few weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster weather-wise, so this is a welcome change! Take a look!
January 4th
Monday, January 4th will bring us a pretty brisk 66-degree high. We know what you’re thinking: mid-60s temps aren’t cold! But, they’re pretty cool by Florida standards!
Plus, you’ll spot that low alllllll the way down at 44 degrees. That’s chilly! Bring a sweater so that those evenings and nights don’t leave you shivering.
January 5th
The next day, January 5th, will bring us the second precipitation-free day of the week. Those temperatures are gonna be pretty similar to Monday’s with just a slight tick upward.
Even if you’re used to cooler temperatures, you might find yourself feeling a little chillier during the day if you pack for a typical hot Florida week.
January 6th
On Wednesday, January 6th, the high warms up just a few degrees more…
…and the low does too! As is the trend this week, that chance of rain is still low, low, low.
January 7th
For Thursday, January 7th, that high stabilizes in about the same place at 74 degrees. Spoiler alert! The rest of the week is going to hang out at around these temps too!
The low stabilizes too, landing in the mid-50s. You might be hot during the day to be cold late at night so layering will be key!
January 8th
The week continues with almost EXACTLY the same temperatures as the prior day on January 8th.
You’ll see that chance of rain notch up just a little bit, but it’s still well below a 20% chance. Remember though, Florida is notorious for sudden precipitation, even when it’s not in the forecast!
January 9th
Saturday, January 9th brings us another day of those pleasantly moderate temperatures.
Here, we’re looking at a 73-degree high and a 55-degree low.
January 10th
And we’ll wrap up our week on January 10th with those temperatures sitting at a comfy and similar 74-degree high and a brisk 56-degree low.
Sunday evening marks the highest chance of rain at 32%, so this might be our first and only chance of soggy skies this week.
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. The temperatures are surprisingly stable this week. We’re mostly looking at mid-70s highs and mid-50s lows.

You probably won’t be sweating in Disney World this week and you very well could find yourself feeling chilly. Keep in mind though, weather forecasts are subject to change. The weather this week could look SUPER different from these predictions. Meteorologists aren’t perfect!

How Should You Plan?
If you are headed to Disney World next week, we’ve got a few tips on how to plan for the weather!
It’s time to pack those layers!
Our number one tip for winter in Florida is to pack layers in both your luggage AND your daily park bag. A scarf or light jacket can do WONDERS when that surprising Florida chill hits in the evenings (or even during the day). Plus, we like to make sure there’s a short-sleeved shirt under all those layers when we are chilly, just in case the sun starts shining a little too hot.
Exploring the Disney World parks can be less fun if you’re not dressed for the weather. If you DO find yourself dealing with chilly temps (or warm temps) while wearing the wrong layers, head to a nearby store. Disney is stocked with lots of weather-braving options — even if they do tend to be a little pricy.
Be prepared for anything!
We know, we know, there’s no rain in the forecast and you’re THRILLED that you don’t have to waste precious park bag space with a bulky poncho. Well, hold your horses before you leave that rain layer at the resort (or worse, at home!).
Florida is a fickle, fickle place when it comes to the skies and clouds can turn up seemingly out of nowhere. Any one of these days could contain an unforeseen shower, so we recommend always coming prepared for the rain!
