We spent a rainy Sunday in Magic Kingdom yesterday and we’re definitely not complaining!
We like to take regular spins around Disney World’s premier park to make sure we’re up to date on allllll the latest news. We’re bringing you updates on everything NEW in food, construction, and merchandise!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Sunshine Tree Terrace
The only food update we had was over at Sunshine Tree Terrace. The I Lava You Float was removed from the menu, but still listed on a placard on the counter.
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Crowds
The most notable thing in Magic Kingdom today was the crowding. Crowds were higher than we expected for a rainy Sunday after New Year’s Day. When we first stopped in, it was sprinkling rain and the Emporium was PACKED with people buying longsleeves, hoodies, and jackets.
It was also unusually messy in this store. Typically it’s spick and span but the high crowds had left a lot of merchandise misplaced by guests.
Pinch points were also an issue around the park. The worst spot we noticed was the narrow path connecting Tomorrowland to Fantasyland by Tomorrowland Speedway.
Aaaand there were some unusually high waits! Prince Charming Regal Carrousel had a 40 minute wait when we walked by it.
Due to the rain, Splash Mountain had a surprisingly low wait at just 35 minutes when we passed.
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Main Street Emporium
Finally, we spotted one new item on the merchandise front! Over at Main Street Emporium, we checked out this sweet 2021 Mickey and Minnie Snowglobe for $19.99.
That’s all, just a little update for today. We’ll be reporting in on all the news from Magic Kingdom and beyond and we’ll check back in soon. Stay tuned!
