Disney+ has a HUGE selection of movies and shows to watch. Plus, there are always tons of new titles that are in the works, too.
There’s so much to choose from, from classic Disney films, Star Wars movies, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Disney+ originals, and so much more. But, there are also a few shows and movies that are missing. These are four things we can’t help but wish were on Disney+!
Disney’s Sing-Along Songs on VHS
One of our old-school Disney favorites that we wish was on Disney+ is the old Disney Sing Along Songs that came on VHS! These videos each featured a different theme, like “Happy Haunting,” “Disneyland Fun,” “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Under the Sea,” and more!
We’d croon along to some of our favorite Disney tunes! Lyrics are provided, but the true Disney pros don’t need them 😉.
We’d be thrilled to be singing along with these once again!
Less Popular Disney Channel Shows
While we’re glad to see shows like Lizzie McGuire, That’s So Raven, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on Disney+, there are a few that didn’t make the cut! Shows like Disney’s House of Mouse and Lloyd in Space (remember those?!) have not yet made their way onto the streaming platform.
There are more than a few Disney Channel shows that haven’t made it to Disney+ yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye out!
Original Disney Cartoons
There’s already a decent selection of Disney cartoons on Disney+ already, like the iconic animated short, Steamboat Willie, where Mickey Mouse himself was created! But in our opinion, the more original cartoons, the better!
There are plenty of cartoons featuring members of the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto) missing! One short we wish we could pull up on our TVs all on its own, especially around Halloween time, is The Skeleton Dance from Silly Symphony, the 1929 series of animated shorts.
Getting the opportunity to see more of the projects that Walt Disney himself was involved in making would be so fun!
Resort TV Loops
You know those channels that play in the background in your Disney Resort, but you don’t necessarily pay much attention to? You know the ones we’re talking about. They share information that’ll help you prepare for your day, like park hours and weather, while you’re chasing down family members making sure they have sunscreen on before heading out for the day.
While they may not seem super exciting, we’d certainly be happy to have those looping on our TVs all day long to help us pretend we’re at Disney! Plus, the music is pretty motivational.
Disney Is Losing Billions on Disney+. Where’s the Money Going?
We know we’ve got plenty to binge-watch on Disney+ already, but we can’t help but wish some of these things were added to the list. We’ll be sure to share more updates about everything coming to Disney+ so be sure to check back with us!

My kids really want to see more of the original Mickey Mouse Club. I long for older Disney serials like Galllagher, Texas john Slaughter, etc. Plus I would love to see vintage specials from the theme parks, including Grand Openings and anniversary shows. And vintage Disney Channel Christmas programs!

I just want them to remove the 50 item cap from the visible items on your watch list. I need all my old faves AND my new to-dos!

Muppets in Disneyworld, a TV Production, waiting for years to see it again 🙂

They are going to put American Dragon Jake Long on very soon I hear, so they are at least going to do that. How about the *older* Disney Channel shows for those of us ancient enough to remember when The Disney Channel was actually a premium paid channel on cable (and a selling point for a hotel room once upon a time that they had Disney Channel), such as Mousercise, Welcome to Pooh Corner, Dumbo’s Circus, Kids Incorporated, etc.? THAT might be really interesting.
And while we are on the subject of Playhouse Disney… are we just going to gloss over the fact that there may be something Disney has the rights to and hasn’t touched except to update it for a CGI-ish revival? (Yep, I am talking about the original Muppet Babies which DID air in reruns on Playhouse Disney for awhile.)

I am very sure that must-do Stacy would go on loop at our house.

Yes! Also, why not a whole category just for the parks? Nighttime shows , parades , special events, virtual ride alongs, behind the scenes/documentaries and footage of old shows too. I would have that on all the time !

I’m waiting patiently (sarcasm) for the Tarzan & Aladdin TV Series! Like The Little Mermaid, Hercules, & Pumbaa and Timon TV Series are on there so why not Tarzan & Aladdin. Those we’re my favorite.

All the Disney sing along songs that were on VHS so my son can enjoy them as much as I did
Nicole says
I pulled a few of the sing along songs up on YouTube to watch them with my granddaughter. We were having the best time. They only had two though. I agree that Disney + needs to add them all.
