Hello from Magic Kingdom!
We spent a day wandering around all the lands just so we could get you the latest updates! Ready? Here we go!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Casey’s Corner
We don’t know about you, but we’ve been missing Casey’s Corner (although we did find our beloved corndog nuggets elsewhere). We noticed a change here, though — the merchandise that had been in the dining area is now gone and that area is blocked off to guests.
Is this a sign that it might reopen soon? It’s unclear at the moment, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on it.
Food Alert! Hand-Dipped Corndogs Are BACK in Disney World!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
We spotted the hard-to-find Dooney & Bourke Americana MagicBand at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe! This MagicBand features both Mickey and Minnie with the American flag, fireworks, hot dogs, Mickey ice cream bars, and more!
This MagicBand released last year, but it’s been a hard one to track down, so if you’re looking to get it, you can nab it now for $58.

There’s Mickey, Minnie, and one of the two together! And they’re customizable!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Liberty Square Market
Liberty Square Market closed for refurbishment a few weeks ago, but it looks like it might be getting closer to reopening soon! The construction walls around it are now down!
It’s slated for a February reopening, so we’ll let you know as soon as that happens!

It’s currently blocked off with some shrubbery.

Magic Kingdom Attraction Updates
Down Time
Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland was one of three rides down during our visit!
Over in Fantasyland, Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid was also closed due to technical difficulties.
And Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was also down!
These three were down for technical difficulties, but the rides did open back up later in the day.

Magic Kingdom Miscellaneous Updates
Entrance
Now that Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is gone, the poster has been replaced by one for Sunshine Tree Terrace, which is a little odd because now there are two identical posters in this space.
Perhaps it’s just a placeholder until something else gets promoted there.
NEWS: Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Has Officially Closed in Disney World
That’s all we’ve got for updates in Magic Kingdom this time around, but we’ll be back soon with even more updates! We had a great time checking up on the construction, and finding new merchandise. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news!

Love the patriotic Magic Band but not the price just to have a fancy name. Would even consider if it lasted forever but the batteries are only good for two maybe three years. Would be awesome if the batteries could be relaced.

My family has been planning a trip to WDW for the 50th abd all the new attractons for the past two years. We knew Covid was going to be a dampner. But to top the Covid problem off, Disney has doomed the vacation. Most of the new attractions will not be done, or you can not get onto the ride (As my wife and I experinced on our week long stay last Feb, Not one single day could we get into Rise of the Resistence) Something is wrng with the system. Closing and retheaming of rides for the PC effect is another problem. !st was Splash, Now Jungle. One park entry and you need reservations to get that one park. No Baggage for Magical Express which goes away on 12-31. No dining plans, Half the restraunts closed. Less people into the parks yet the lines are as long as ever. SOTMK gone. Magic Bands no longer included for hotel stays, Half the Hotels still closed. Reduced hours and no more extra magic hours ( the idea of 30 minutes early for hotels guests is a laugh) Ticket prices up again. Parking fee for hotel guests (to try and cut down on traffic, humm, so lets cancel the Magical express and make more people bring rental cars to the parks.) No hotel airline check in or baggage service. No meet and greet, No live shows, No Parades, No fireworks…Somebody from Disney PLEASE. Tell me why I would travel across the United States to visit WDW for all of this nothing. I would love an answer.
