Hooray for Hollywood! We’re constantly visiting all of the Disney World theme parks to see what’s new and recently our adventures took us to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
We’ve got an update on some recent wait times, an updated look at one spot, and more! Come with us on a virtual tour of the park to see what we found.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Food Updates
Hollywood Scoops
During a previous trip, we noticed that Hollywood Scoops did not open until later in the day. But, before that it had been open in the morning for guests to get a bloody mary or mimosa. In our most recent visit, Hollywood Scoops was open for guests to enjoy. So, if you’ll be visiting Hollywood Studios soon and are hoping to stop at this spot, be sure to check when you’re there whether it’s open in the morning.
Also, we noticed that Hollywood Scoops still had the peppermint shake listed on their specials placard. It might almost be Valentine’s Day, but if you’ve still got your Christmas tree up and are craving something with more of a winter feel, this might still be available to get. Check if it’s still there during your trip!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Other Updates
Toy Story Land Merchandise Cart
Over in Toy Story Land, we noticed a small change has been made over at the Fisher-Price Camper merchandise cart. The top of the car used to have a sign that looked as though it had been burnt and charred. Seems like someone went a little overboard with that campfire!
But, now it’s looking sparkly and new! The sign is now clear and doesn’t feature any of that burnt look to it. I guess the campers finally decided it was time to give their mode of transportation a bit of an upgrade.
What do you prefer? The burnt look with a bit more of a story or this new look? Let us know in the comments!
Wait Times
While we were at the park we also got a look at the wait times for some of the park’s most popular rides and some of them were pretty low. There was about a 20 minute wait at Muppet*Vision 3D…
…only a 25 minute wait over at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run…
…and only a 20 minute wait at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Slinky Dog Dash had a slightly longer wait time at 55 minutes.
And The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was a 40 minute wait while we were there.
In January we saw some pretty low wait times in the parks, but things have started to pick up lately. With Valentine’s Day approaching and more holidays on the way, we’ll definitely be on the lookout for updates on this.
And that’s all for us from Hollywood Studios! We’ll continue to visit the parks and resorts and bring you all the latest updates.
