If you’re planning on visiting Disney World, there are LOTS of hotels both on and off property for you to choose from.
Some of those include what Disney calls “Gateway Hotels” — these are hotels that have some special Disney perks at a variety of price points. This includes resorts like the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, the Disney Springs area hotels, and more. And now several hotels from Disney’s new Flamingo Crossings Town Center development have been added to that list!
Just off of Walt Disney World property, Disney is building the Flamingo Crossings Town Center. This center already includes a number of hotels that are open. More hotels, stores (including a Target!), restaurants, and other retailers are also set to open there in the future.
And now several of the hotels located at Flamingo Crossings have been added to Disney’s list of Gateway Hotels and are available for booking directly on Disney’s website and through the Walt Disney Travel Company. This makes it easy and convenient for guests to select one of these hotels for their Disney World stay and book a full Disney package there that includes hotel and theme park admission.
Guests staying at these hotels may also receive certain Disney benefits. For example, the TownePlace Suites Orlando and SpringHill Suites Orlando pages both note that “by booking a vacation package with the Walt Disney Travel Company, Guests receive select benefits guaranteed to add a little more magic to their Walt Disney World Resort stay.”
The Home2 Suites by Hilton page doesn’t list this specifically, but it does note that a Disney planning center is located in the hotel to help guests plan their trips.
In the past, the perks offered to select non-Disney hotels have typically included things like the ability to book FastPass+ 60 days in advance and getting access to Extra Magic Hours. FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours, however, are not currently available. A new Early Theme Park Entry program has been announced as coming soon for Disney hotel guests. But, Disney has not officially announced whether this perk will be offered to Gateway Hotels as well.
So, if you’ve been looking at potentially staying at a non-Disney hotel but wanting to book it with a Disney World ticket package and potentially get some great Disney benefits in the future, you can now consider looking at these Flamingo Crossings area hotels. Be sure to look at the Disney World website pages for these hotels or speak with the Walt Disney Travel Company to see exactly what amenities and benefits you’ll be able to take advantage of during your stay.

Margaret Cavanagh says
Yes. I would consider staying at a Flamingo Crossings property. those hotels would have to offer transportation to and from the park in order for me to be interested. I would assume it would be bus transportation. Also I like the fact that you can enter the parks earlier if you stay in a Walt Disney World official property.
