Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Downtown Disney!
Disney California Adventure’s 20th Anniversary party is in full swing so you bet we have plenty of crowds, merchandise, and food updates for you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s jump right on in!
Downtown Disney Food Update
Award Wieners
Our visit to Downtown Disney kicked off with a whole lot of food! We started with the Apple Pie Funnel Cake Fries in a Mickey Ear Hat Bowl at Award Wieners! We’ve had the Apple Pie Funnel Cake Fries before, but if you need a refresher, these babies are coated with cinnamon-sugar and topped with classic apple pie filling, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and a sprinkling of streusel crumbles.
And, though you can order these fries without the Mickey Mouse Club Ear Hat Bowl, we found it most fitting to kick off our day with this adorable monstrosity! You can grab this for $15.99.
Check out our REVIEW of the Apple Pie Funnel Cake Fries!
Just down Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, you can find the cheapest diamond ever — because it’s a glow cube! The Sapphire Light-Up Glow Cube flashes between blue and teal and is controlled by the Mickey head in the middle!
Plus, it’s not your average glow cube — it’s shaped like a diamond!
Bring the Disney California Adventure birthday party to your drink with this little guy for $5.49.

Churro Cart
Over at the bright red Churro Cart in Disney California Adventure’s Hollywood Land, we gave a rather interesting churro a try. The Chocolate Pineapple Churros are available for $6.25 and come covered with chocolate (crushed Oreos basically) with a drizzle of pineapple glaze.
That’s right, that white drizzle is PINEAPPLE flavored! TBH, we weren’t very impressed, but there is another churro we would highly recommend a short walk away!

Trolley Treats
Over at Trolley Treats, 20th-anniversary celebrations are in full swing with a Disney California Adventure Happy Birthday Caramel Apple available for $11.99! It is a Granny Smith apple coated in caramel and milk chocolate, with a milk chocolate “Happy Birthday” piece, a white chocolate candle, and marshmallow ears.
The only thing that’s not average about this caramel apple is the cute celebratory decor — otherwise, it’s your average chocolate covered caramel apple! But hey, we can get behind apples joining the birthday celebrations!
Check out our REVIEW of the Happy Birthday Caramel Apple!
And, if you’re looking for a light snack, Trolley Treats also has two new Snacks With Character chip bags. There are White Cheddar Corn Puffs featuring Minnie Mouse…
…and Honey BBQ Popped Potato Chips featuring Goofy!
Each chip bag is $3.49.
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes
Over at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes, there’s a new pricey milkshake — the Red Velvet Cake Batter Classic Shake. This shake is decked out in red for the season of love and is made with classic red velvet cake batter ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and a cherry.
We were really impressed with the flavor, so it might be worth grabbing the next time you visit. It can be yours for $12.

Downtown Disney Construction Update
Star Wars Trading Post
Over at the new Star Wars Trading Post location, things are really coming together! More has been added to the “hidden Resistance jungle base” and it is definitely starting to blend in with the forest!
And, Rey’s Speeder is parked just outside as promised! It looks like she was even out searching for scrap metal before she made her way over to the base.
The new location is set to open next week on February 19th and Legacy Passholders can sign up for an exclusive preview!
Legacy Passholders can now book an EXCLUSIVE shopping experience!
Downtown Disney Merchandise Update
Dress Shop
While we were perusing our way through the Disney Dress Shop in Downtown Disney we noticed that something smelled REALLY good. And, when we identified the culprit we were left with MAJOR questions. The Laila The Essence of Norway products have made their way all the way from the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT to Downtown Disney! So, now you can get the Hand and Body Cream for $48…
…and Laila The Essence of Norway perfume. The perfume comes in two different sizes with the 50ML costing $63 and the 100ML costing $83.
And, if you’d rather sample both, you can get the bag with a 3.4 oz perfume bottle and 8 oz hand and body cream for $109.
It’s not every day something from EPCOT becomes a world traveler!
Wait…What’s This EPCOT Merchandise Doing in Disneyland?!
We also spotted this Minnie Purse at the Dress Shop for $39.99.
We’ve spotted this bag at Walt Disney World before but this is the first time we found it at Downtown Disney.
Elias & Co.
Over at Elias & Co., you can find some of the limited-time Disney California Adventure 20th Anniversary merchandise. If you’re an Annual Passholder (or Legacy Passholder), you can snag this bright-colored 20th Anniversary Shirt for $59.99.
The sleeve of the shirt even has a patch with the celebration logo and “Passholder” stitched on.
And, the Disney California Adventure 20th Anniversary Magnet is a great trinket to keep the celebrations going at home. Remember how great the past 20 years have been every time you open the fridge with this magnet for $9.99.
Stitch fans can rejoice because the Stitch Ears hat has made its way to the west coast!
For $19.99, you can wear stitch on a hat…on your head!
Here’s where you can find these ears at Walt Disney World!
As we were walking around, we also spotted a TON of new Disney x Neff apparel. First up is the White Long Sleeve T-Shirt for $34. The front of the shirt features Mickey with some retro designs.
And the back has Mickey throwing a thumbs-up in his cool shades.
Mickey is striking the same pose but in color on the Black Mickey T-Shirt for $28.
And this Yellow Mickey T-Shirt is POPPING with color for $28. It’s really only fitting that Mickey is front and center on this vibrant shirt!
If you’re a fan of Mickey’s better half, then the White Minnie T-Shirt comes has the same style as the yellow top, but features Minnie for $28! These two tops could also make for a cooler version of the classic couple tee!
There is also a Grey Mickey Hoodie in the collection for $60. The front has Mickey spelled out in some retro letters and the sleeves feature the signature design that can be found on all the tops in the line.
Minnie fans can wear their favorite character with a pop of color on this Orange Minnie T-Shirt for $28. Minnie is written in the retro letters like the hoodie in the collection and Minnie peeks out from the side of the top.
Finish off your stylish Disney look with the Mickey Baseball Hat for $26. The front of the hat has Mickey spelled out in the retro letters…
…and the side features Mickey himself embroidered in a rainbow of color!
If you’re looking for more of a classic Disney stop, then you can check out this Disneyland Sensational Six T-Shirt for $24.99.
This green top basically describes how we feel when we’re at Disney! The top says “My favorite place with my favorite people” and has Mickey, Donald, and Goofy on their visit to the park. You can snag this top for $24.99.
And, a new Dooney & Bourke Collection stormed onto the scene this week and can be found at Elias & Co. in Downtown Disney. The 101 Dalmatians bags are finally here and they’re decked out in adorable pups. Now you can find the Crossbody bag for $198…
…the satchel for $298…
…and the tote bag for $298.
Take home one, two, or even all three because who can resist those adorable pups, dog bones, and paw prints!

And, Passholders can purchase the Limited Edition Passholder Pin for $19.99. The color scheme is pretty unique to this anniversary pin featuring classic Mickey Mouse colors!
We also spotted the Limited Release 2021 Lunar New Year for $15.99. The design is identical to the one we’ve seen on almost all of the other Lunar New Year merchandise this year.
Haunted Mansion fans will certainly want to check out this Limited Release Glow In The Dark Pin! The pin says “Beware Hitchhiking Ghosts” and has the thumbs of those happy haunts trying to catch a ride. And, did we mention, it GLOWS IN THE DARK!? How cool!
Passholders can snag this pin for $15.99.
World of Disney
We even made our way over to World of Disney to check out everything new! We spotted a new Beauty and the Beast Journal that features all of the classic Disney characters on the front.
And you can even spot Mrs. Potts and Chip inside!
Use this as a journal, a doodle book, or whatever else you might need a piece of paper for $19.99.

We originally discovered these “poisonous” trays at Disney World and now we’ve found some Disneyland-themed ones as well! This Disney California Adventure Trinket Tray is available for $17.99 and can hold bracelets, rings, or anything else you don’t eat.
And the Main Street, U.S.A. Trinket Tray features the Disneyland Castle…
…and all of the sights of Main Street, U.S.A. for $17.99!
These trinket trays come with a warning though, so be sure you don’t use them for food or any edible items!
Check out the Walt Disney World trinket tray!
These new Yellow Floral Ears give off some major spring vibes.
We’ve seen them in Walt Disney World, but now they’re over at Downtown Disney too! Pick them up for $29.99.
Check out where to find these at Disney World!
This new 101 Dalmations mug is super creative and adorable! The mug itself is an old TV set and there are two little pups trying to get a lick of your coffee. Sip your morning brew in this for $19.99.
And the “it’s a small world’ Wishables have made their way over to World of Disney so now you can squeeze those mystery bags and see if you’re right for $9.99 each.
Or, you can eliminate the mystery and grab the Kangaroo and Joey Wishables outside of the mystery pack!
Outdoor Kiosk (by Carthay Circle Restaurant)
You can find almost the ENTIRE Disney California Adventure 20th Anniversary Collection outside at a kiosk near Carthay Circle Restaurant. There is a keychain for $9.99…
…and a t-shirt for $29.99. The front of the t-shirt has Mickey peeking out from the pocket with the anniversary logo.
And, the back of the t-shirt features a color block design of the logo.
If you’d rather have a long-sleeve t-shirt the 20th Anniversary Hoodie is available for $36.99. You can spot all the same park icons featured in the anniversary logo on the top with Mickey and Minnie front and center in the Red Car Trolley.
You can also grab a Corkcicle Tumbler for $34.99 with the anniversary logo.
The 20th-anniversary merchandise won’t be here for long, so hurry over to Downtown Disney if you’re loving all the items as much as we are!

Downtown Disney Crowd Update
As you can imagine, with all the Disney California Adventure birthday celebrations underway, Downtown Disney was VERY busy!
All of the shops and dining locations had pretty long standby queues, so we weren’t able to go anywhere fast. We’re not sure exactly how long the celebrations will go on and no one wants to miss out on all the fun!
Downtown Disney Miscellaneous Update
Red Car Trolley
The Red Trolley also moved to a new home this week. You’ll no longer find the trolley in Hollywood Land, but it might be even easier to find now!
The trolley is parked at the front entrance of Disney California Adventure Park so you’re sure to spot it right away. It’s a really fun spot for a photo op, but its new location also makes it a bit more crowded in the area.
WandaVision Photo Op
Speaking of photo ops, there’s a new WandaVision photo op! Now you can step into Wanda and Vision’s retro living room or post in front of the big TV sets like all the other characters on the show.
So, put on your best 50’s fashion and head over to Downtown Disney! You’ll spot this photo op near Mickey’s Philharmagic in Hollywood Land.
